IMO i think its gonna be FFXIII, because the game has just the same amount of cut scenes and dialog as MGS4. Perhaps even it will come in 2 discs. Im expecting FFXIII to one HUGE game after MGS4. outbreak201GT 5

Yeah. You beat me! :PI can't believe no one has said this yet since I'm sure a lot of people have RE4 on the ps2, but you can turn on Progressive Scan and it fixes any "blurry" problems you may have. It's in the instruction manual I believe, but hold Triangle+X while the game is starting up (be sure to press the PS button as soon as you can), so around when the "Playstation 2" sign comes up. It will ask you if you want progressive mode turned on. There aren't a whole lot of ps2 games that support this, but RE4 and GoW 1/2 were ones that did.
edit: Also, be sure to set your TV to Normal instead of Full Pixel if the option is there, as the game may not fill the screen otherwise (still would be better than playing in a much lower rez without progressive scan).

RE4 has 480p mode. Hold down the X and Triangle if you want to make the PS3 see RE4 in 480p mode. If you don't you'll let the PS3 do upscaling (smoothing). I prefer the PS3 smoothing vs the 480p mode. But that's just me. But for Black, I like 480p mode. For God of War (1 and 2). I prefer smoothing (non 480p). By the way. I'm only talking about playing certain PS2 games on the PS3. The best is playing PS2 games on the PS2. But note that even some of those games will look worse on an LCD sinec most were not made in 480p mode. CRT looked best with PS2 games.Okay so I just bought RE4 today and when I play it, the graphics are really bluury... It's pretty distracting. The game also supported HD when it came out so I don't know why it looks like this. I also bought Shadow Of The Colossusyesterday but if all the games look this bad, I would rather not have my expiericence be tainted.
I have a LCD Samsung with HDMI, turned up to 1080i, if that helps.
Oh yeah does smoothing do anyhting? Since it is already blurry I don't think it will help. Lul.

Uncharted overall is a better game. It's short (8-12 hours) but very fun. Assassins Creed is repetitive ( can get boring).im going to the mall today and i would like to buy a game which game do u think is better

[QUOTE="gizmo_logix"][QUOTE="karasill"]Hey, I have a HDTV that is only capable of 480i, 480p, and 1080i and am planning on buying either a PS3 or save some cash and just buy a standalone Blu-Ray player. My question is has anyone seen first hand what Blu-Ray movies look like in 1080i as opposed to 720p and 1080p? Would I be getting a real clear and nice picture with 1080i that is very comparable to 1080p?karasillWhat size HDTV will you get? It's a 55" Yes, 1080p will look better (for movies). Most games will not be 1080p. So, that's not an issue for you. But you better make sure that the games you get support 1080i. Not all do. So, all you games will be at 480p if that's all your HDTV supports.
people im sure have asked this question many times but i havent been on the ps3 forums because i own an xbox 360. i want to have both. how much would the 80 gig cost and what games and accesories should i get.KGrimm03PlayStation 3 Charge Link by Nyko (10 foot USB cable). Trust me. I love it. The 10 foot cable comes in handy. Nyko charge station Dualshock 3 if you can find them on-line (Japan sellers) Also get a USB flash card A 6ft HDMI cable from monoprice (only 7$) The Logitech Mediaboard is good to have too.

But only if you have a larger HDTV...say, larger than 42 inch.

[QUOTE="ps3rulez19"]AS u all know Warner Bros is going Bluray exlusive! Toshiba is surprised by that move and now it's only a matter of time before HD-DVD is gone, and the sooner the better. This Sunday Toshiba will not be having a HD-DVD showcase at CES 2008. It was cancelled after the news of Warner BRos going bluray exclusive. During 08 of christmas i see bluray (including ps3 if u can find one due the new lower price and breathtaking exclusives such as MGS4, Killzone2, and GT5) being a major seller. While HD-DVD sales flourish.

Why would HD-DVD sales "flourish"
I think he meant to say "flounder." :)
