Way I see it, it's:

Nintendo>>>>>Sony>Sega>MS

Sega was great, but if they were better than MS or Sony, they would've survived last gen's console war. Sony comes in second because even if their 1st party games aren't as memorable, they're consistently good. As for MS, their 1st party barely exists but they do make up in 3rd party.

iPhone of course. Anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves.

Of course, you're also lying to yourself if you even believe that the iPhone one will play better than the DS one.

Wow, lot of hate here. Are you fanboys still hurt over the fact that SMG, a technologically inferior, "immature", and nonviolent game beat your precious Halo 3, COD4, Mass Effect, Orange Box, Crysis, and Assassin's Creed?

An AAA is AAA regardless. If a technologicaly inferior but superiorly innovative underdog can go toe to toe with the big guys and win, it deserves to.

Using an RPG that had Final Fantasy and Disney characters as an example of a game that built up from scratch isn't a very smart example. :|

But TC is right in a few ways. First, the Japanese really don't care about good JRPGs if they're on the 360. Just look at what happened to poor Eternal Sonata, a game that totally deserved to sell millions. Secondly, most American 360 users don't care about good JRPGs. If you asked an average/casual 360 gamer what they'd perfer between GTAIV and Halo 3 or Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia, you'll get an answer of GTAIV/Halo 3 every single time. Still, I applaud MS for making a clear and dedicated effort to widen their variety of games.

Where are people getting this whole "COD4 is the best multiplayer experience ever" idea from? Team Fortress 2 is clearly the pinnacle of cooperative and tactical multiplayer coupled with the most unique and exciting gameplay I've ever seen in an FPS. I mean, COD4 is $50 and TF2 is $20, yet TF2 will last you 5 times longer than COD4 ever will. If that's not awesome, I don't know what is.

On topic, L4D really does look cool. I love games that require a lot of teamwork to succeed so L4D naturally intrigued me from the very beginning.

Here's the thing though. All of those multiplat games? Almost if not all of them play better on the PC. Mass Effect on the PC is considered the definitive version, only a desperate consolite would even dare to say that Orange Box is better on consoles than PC's, and in general, other than the convenience of finding friends and joining them online, most PC games offer a better experience when it comes to FPS's.

And seriously, did you just call Sins just "another RTS"? That comment alone convinces me that you've never played it.

Ouch, sucks for Valve, but hey, just because you know how to render the Heavy's minigun doesn't mean you know how to rev it up at the right moment around a corner into the face of a Pyro or Scout.

But really, I don't see why this is a huge deal, it's not like it says anything about the quality of either developer.

Of course, because the cost of all 3 consoles comined is roughly $1000+tax and since I already own 2 consoles, I'd only need to spend $400-$600 of that money to buy a PS3, and then the rest I could use for buying games, a new graphics card, and a replacement for my broken PSP.

Of course its aesthetics are kiddy. But for me, the whole "kiddy look" of games was never a bad thing. I probably own more of these "immature" games than I do of "mature" ones. But you can't justify LBP's kiddy aesthetics if you're the same kind of gamer who refuses to play Nintendo games because of this. It's almost depressingly hypocritical to see gamers who love LBP's unique visuals while calling SMG a "shallow kiddy platformer."
