As a purely gaming device, the iPhone is inferior in almost every way. Sure, it looks nicer, but who honestly buys an iPhone for its games? Besides, the DS has a few years' worth of quality games that the iPhone could never match in its entire lifetime. I think a better comparison would be between the PSP and iPhone since both emphasize their multimedia capabilities.

Damn, that LBP theme is really catchy!

But still, Super Mario theme song hands down. I don't know why, but LBP's theme sounds...unmemorable. Like if I hear the Mario theme song, no matter what instrument it's played with (and I've heard it played on guitar, bongos, oboe, trumpet, piano, and xylophone) it's always something that's instantly recognizable and completely universal among gamers. I just don't get that feeling when I hear the LBP theme song. It's probably a degree of nostalgia kicking in but even compared to the themes of other modern games, LBP's theme doesn't match up. It's catchy and fun to listen to, but it's not the next big theme in the video game world.

Such a charming looking game, I was interested in it as soon as I saw it. And to the people who are calling it yet another overhyped kiddy Wii game, how about you look at the developers working on this game first? I mean seriously, with that caliber of talent, you can't go wrong.

"STRAWBERRY ON THE SHORTCAKE!!!"

or

"This is triumph...making a note here, huge sucess..."

So a tie between Travis Touchdown and GLaDOS. Both have so much personality in such strangely different ways.

WTF are you talking about the DS sucks...

blaznwiipspman1

They're both good but the DS is much better. The PSP hardware has a lot of problems and you can play most of the games on the PS2

..

lol the DS sucks and what are these problems the psp hardware has that I haven't heard of yet? And your point about playing most of the games on ps2.....the ps2 isn't even made anymore dude. Besides DS graphics sux and you could find better graphics on the 64. Not to mention the homebrew support for the psp is amazing. Just go back to playing your kiddy DS games while I play real mature games lol.

Um, I hope you realize that you sound really immature when you talk about only playing "real mature games". I had a PSP an ironically, the games I think are the best are the ones that aren't rated higher than T. But whatever, I'm sure this whole hate on "kiddy" games is just you repressing some part of your own undeveloped psyche in an attempt to make yourself feel better. Hopefully you'll grow out of it when you reach puberty. ;)

Come on guys, he must be telling the truth. When has Steve Jobs ever overhyped one of his low quality and overly expensive products to push sales?

But seriously, if he said the "iPhone is the best portable device for s***ty casualgames", then maybe he'd have a decent argument. Actually, I take that back. Even the DS is probably better if you need a bunch of casual crossword puzzles and Sudoku games.

Depends really. The PS3 version might be better because it was the original console we assumed. Sort of like how the 360 and PC version of The Orange Box are superior to the lag-fest we call the PS3 version. What I don't get are people worrying that the 360 will "bring down the level of quality" of the game. Shoot, every Final Fantasy game since VII has been released on that gen's graphically inferior console (PS1 and PS2). I'm sure that if FFXIII's full quality version couldn't be done on the 360, they wouldn't have bothered with it in the first place.

Out of the ones here, Samus's just because having a cannon on your arm is pretty freaking awesome. But of all the suits, I say the Gordan's HEV. That thing's a classic.

Agreed, though I have to say, I've never actually hear someone use color palette as an argument for a game being casual. Sure, for some fanboys, beautiful color palettes=kiddy, but never casual. Still, can't imagine how someone would think that. Just look at games like Eternal Sonata, Castle Crashers, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, etc. All these games are packing very awesome color choices but none of them could be considered 100% casual.
