I think they missed the point. He might very well have an opinion on the game, but does that opinion represent Gamespot? In this feedbackula episode, you switch between saying "he.." and "we" gave it an 8.
Does Gamespot have a standard by which they judges/review games? Or is this a collection of blogs with no single voice?
It seems clear now that there is no one voice, so it would be interesting to hear what score the other employees have given this game. Then provide a gamespot meta score. This would allow for gamers views on the genre, platform, graphic style etc to be averaged out.
Wow another generations of hackers have their motivation... the race will be on.. hide games that you have returned or tell the server you are using a different key.
Great article. I dont think its much of a risk to have characters in a game that reflect those found in society. Infact the only 'types' of people not represented in the game are the ones twittering "fa***t n***ers" The art direction is a none issue for me, the money is more of one. I think gamers would prefer the studios actually spent less, worried less about block busters, and actually creat a product they love. With the budgets currently being spent, it must be hard for story tellers, creative to have much say. Imagine you have an idea but think it might only appeal to a few, well thats not going to make money so you never speak up. Most importantly though - Remember gamers, its OK to be offended, no one ever died of being offended, Be an adult and deal with it.
