I dont think anyone can argue that this type of service is the future of gaming. But the future is not here just yet. I have played a few of the demos and as a demo service, this is very good. A chance to play a game with all the features for 30min gives you an excellent idea of how you will play the game. I have the best package Virgin UK offers and I live next door to the exchange and I still get a break up in service throughout a game. Obviously they have some things to tweek, but its just not there yet.... for me.
I agree, but choice is always a good thing. There are some gamers out there who dont want all the 'jazz' that goes with the game. The just want a game to play. They are not invested in the gaming 'community' and care what other people are being offered. It is getting to a crazy point and I agree with the article, but there has to be choice.
