And Just When I Thought Zelda: Twilight Princess was overrated.........

.........in comes the new World of Warcraft expansion. My lord. I'm sorry if I sound like a WoW hater, but I am getting sick and tired of hearing about this damned game. It's basically the only game I hear conversation about at school, everybody on this site d!ckrides the game, I hear news articles about desperate situations from people that overplay it, GAH! ENOUGH!!!! Jesus Christ. Now for those that say "Well, you should go out and try it," don't worry, I have my reasons. It's mainly the fee, which is so expensive (at least, until I get a job, THEN it might be acceptable). And then you may ask, "Well, you know, there's a free trial too, dummy:roll:." First of all, don't call me dummy. Second, my computer is crap, and I don't feel like spending lots of cash just to get my PC upgraded and rigged out. Besides, I'm mainly a consule guy anyways, so there ya go. There's my two cents on what I think of all the WoW hooplah. And, if I offended any readers that DO play the game, I'm very sorry.

Ok, moving on from the subject of games, I found out all the results of my exams today. Overall, I did decent; not great, not bad, but decent. I flew skyhigh and hit the targets spot on with my Spanish and Pre-Calculus exams, getting an A and an A- respectively. Then, not quite hitting targets, but still staying in the air, I got B's on my Chemistry, Studio Art, and AP History exams (but just barely on my History exam:? ). And last, and most certainly least, I almost crash into the ground, getting a crappy C on my English exam:|. *sigh* Boy, high school is either getting tougher for me, or I'm just not trying hard like I used to. And I'm guessing it's the latter:(. Damned Wii, Final Fantasy XII, and System Shock 2:evil:...............

Ok, like always, I've got a couple more movie scores for you today. Today I bring you a sexually disturbing drama and a deliciously great, dark, gangster comedy that has a "lives intersecting" premise to it. They are:

Mysterious Skin--8.5/10

Snatch.--9.5/10 (Jason Statham is so hardcore, especially after seeing Crank8).........)

Welp, to all of those that won't hate me after reading this and are looking forward to my next blog post, Until Next Time, LATA!

My First Job?

Yo. Another day, another blog post. This weekend has been alright so far. Watched a couple movies, had a decent time hanging out with my friend on Saturday, and...........might be getting a job? "Whoa whoa," you're probably saying to yourself, "Colonel Pork with a job? Yeah, he'd have a better chance at running half way around the world than that!" Well, you'd be wrong. Full details coming up.

First off, though, my day yesturday hanging out with my friend. As many of you probably know, I BARELY hang out with any friends, and this was a great change to my repititious weekend agendas. It was alright, but nothing special. Just went to Wendy's to get some grub, and then after taking him to his dad's to get an extra key to his truck since he locked his own pair in his truck, we went to the movies and seen the only good movie playing at my mainstream-infested movie theater: The Pursuit of Happyness. And.........that was about it for the day. It would've been better IMO if I had called up more people so it could've been a group thang, but oh well.

Now, about that job. Yeah, so Friday night, I was talking to my mom while she was on her way home from work, and I suggested to her that she should pick up something to eat on her way home for a change. So, we both agreed that we should get some grinders, which are like grilled Italian sandwiches that are as long as subs, only better than subs, and I called to order while she picked them up. Well, what I was unaware of was that she picked up a job application, and once I saw it, I almost swallowed my dignity:?. But as she sat down with me and explained the situation, in which the place had a "Help Wanted" sign up, the kids that worked there seemed like fun people, and that the only hours would be on Friday and Saturday nights from 5-9, I thought to myself "Dang, this could benefit me really well! I mean, I already waste my time on weekend nights anyways, so it's not like this could kill me." Plus, since it was basically like a pizza place, I had a LITTLE bit of experience of being around a pizza place back when me and my mom lived in Clayton, Georgia and she worked at this joint called Papa's Pizza To Go (she was assistant manager). You see, even though I was like 11 years old at the time, the boss was nice enough to let me help out ocassionally by folding boxes and helping with drinks, but mostly I'd bring in my small television and PS1 in, playing either Digimon or Final Fantasy games at the desk area (because I never liked being home alone:P). Ahhhh those were the days...........but anyways, the situation right now is I already turned in the application and I am just waiting for a phone call for a possible interview. Boy am I nervous as hell:?............

But enough about that, there's more to tell about my weekend:P. Last night, I finally got to play System Shock 2 for the first time. I used the magnificent site chacha.com to get help for any download of the game, and it was a success:D. So far, I am quite pleased with the game. Last night, I jumped out of my seat a couple of times even. Let me tell ya, even though this game has some dated graphics and is about 8 years old, it still has its scare factor. Something I'm noticing, though, is that it is VEEEEEEEEERY similar to Half-Life, and I mean it when I say VEEEEEEEEERY. It almost seems like I'm playing a mod for it sometimes, since the storyline is so similar to Half-Life. But, like always, no spoilers, so if you want to know what's so similar about it, search for it or something.

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, are movie scores. This week I bring you the afore mentioned Pursuit of Happyness, one of the best action movies I've seen in a long time (if not, ever), and another mediocre, cliched comedy. They are:

The Pursuit of Happyness--9.5/10

Crank--9.5/10

Employee of the Month--6/10 (although Miss Simpson was hawt IMO  )

Well, that is all for now my friends. With one more night to stay up and a full day off tomorrow, I think I might do some major gaming:). Until Next Time, LATA!

My Own Mother Thinks I'm Pathetic......

So, yeah. Last night, me and my mom basically had a discussion. Basically, the conversation sprouted from when she asked me simply what I was doing this weekend, and I told her "Same ol, same ol." That basically translates into "Well, just like every other weekend, I'm going to stay stuck up my dad's ass for half the day until I get home, watch some movie from Netflix, and then play Final Fantasy XII." Pathetic, I know:|. Well, my friends, I think the following conversation was actually a worthy one, though. Basically, she told me that I HAD to call any friend I have tomorrow and basically ask them to come meet me at a restaurant joint for a bite to eat, and get out of the house. And well, my good friends, I think that sounds like a plan8). I mean, these weekends are getting more and more repititious each week. I need to live a little! Life is short, and I need to at least hang out with a friend or two. So tomorrow, it looks like yours truly will be the active type hopefully:).

Other than that, I finished exams week. It wasn't really that intimidating to tell you the truth. I mean, I was expecting some of them to be so painfully hard that I would possibly flop (Pre-Calculous, English) while others were significantly easy (Art, Spanish) and others were in between (AP History, Chemistry). So far, I only know my art one, which was a B+. Basically, all we had to do was redraw a self portrait we did in a simple contour line pick shapes and colors that best and least represented us and blah de blah de blah. Also, we had to type a short paper about it, but no big deal in that class. Still, I was expecting at least an A-, but oh well. Keep your fingers crossed for the rest of my exams.........

And...........that's about it. Oh, I DID start watching the new season of American Idol, which was hilarious, and scary at times. I always thought Seattle was such a nice city:(........but after watching what kinds of people auditioned from Seattle on American Idol, I am scared of going there now:?. If anyone else watched the second night of the premiere, you'd know what I mean. Check out these people to see what I'm talking about:

(looks like the morbid dude from the Goonies has a wife.....)

Um, yeah. That last guy almost made me have nightmares that night:?. Just look at that *gulp* face. Anyways, I DID have some other pictures up earlier, but I guess they never showed up....Too bad, too. Oh well, these were SOME of the misfits in Seattle. Hopefully these pics DO show up.

Welp, that is all for now. Until Next Time, LATA!

In Comparing Two of 2006's Titans, Final Fantasy XII>>Zelda????

I'll get to that in a second:P. First, I'll explain the latest hooplah in my world. To start off, it turned out that we DID get hit just a bit with that winter storm that came stomping through Sunday night into Monday. We got about 2-3 inches of snow I'd say, and we did get just a BIT of ice here and there, but nothing like the ice storms that have been occuring in other places. But, unfortunately, I still had school today:(. And going to school was a b*tch too, not to mention getting my car ready to be out on the road. I had to do plenty of scraping, on the count of my windows were bombarded with ice. Also, I had to brush lots of snow off as well, which I had done the previous day as well. The roads were slippery as hell, and if you ask me, it WAS enough to cancel school.............but that is just me:P.........and apparently all the other students that drove to school this morning. But basically, today was just a laid back day to just get ready for the upcoming exams this week. Tomorrow, I will be taking my Chemistry and Art exams (in which I've already been working on my art one), Thursday is my hardest day with English and AP History, and on Friday is Spanish and Pre-Calculus. Can't wait:D..................:|. Well, at least these days are all half-days:D.

Now, you all are probably wondering about my latest addition to my controversial blog titles:P. On Monday, I got back into Final Fantasy XII some more after about 2 weeks. Man, I tell ya, once you figure everything out and get into the groove of things, the combat in this game is friggin addictive I tell ya! And the size of the world? Damn, another vast adventure. When I look at the maps on this game, and I see all of those blue arrows, indicating whole other areas, I just say to myself, "Damn:shock:." So, could this game be better than Zelda: Twilight Princess? Well, according to Gamespot's score it is, but as for my opinion, only time will tell.

Well, that is all for now. No new movie scores for today, but maybe you can expect some by the end of next weekend. Until Next Time, LATA!

Zelda: Twilight Princess Is Now Out of My Hair!

Yippie! I can take another game off of my Now Playing list! And that game is, of course, Zelda: Twilight Princess. I am kinda glad that it's over, but at the same time, I am devastated that I now have no more fresh Zelda adventures to play until Phantom Hourglass, and that's supposed to be released at the end of the year:cry:. It was definately a worthy adventure, and I enjoyed the finale quite a bit, although it was a bit too easy. But I won't spoil anything for anybody. That's not my thang, spoiling things. Anyways, you'll probably see the score in "My Recent Ratings," so you'll know what I thought of it I guess. Welp, I guess my next step is back to Final Fantasy XII, as well as fiddling around with the two Wii games I have. I might not start playing until tomorrow, though, since finishing Zelda was enough to fill my gaming needs tonight. Oh yeah, and I forgot about Haunting Ground and Jak 3 too:P. Well, I've got quite a lot of games to beat, don't I?

Well, here's an update to that snowstorm we are supposed to be bombarded with, just in case you all want the scoop..............and that is, barely nothing:|. Like Kravyn commented on my last post, it has been fairly weak, and all we got was an inch at least of snow. Now it looks like some has melted, and it's not even snowing now:cry:. WHY!!!!?????? The ONE CHANCE that we could've gotten a snowstorm COMPLETELY by-passed us...........or maybe it hasn't arrived yet;). Idk, I'll check the weather in a moment I guess.

And last but not least is probably the reason why the number of comments I got last time dropped from 5 to 2: movie scores:|. And this weekend I've got two completely confusing movies IMO. They are:

A Scanner Darkly--6.5/10

Fight Club--7.5/10

Until Next Time, LATA!

The Approach of a Potentially Nasty Storm

Well, this week certainly went by slow. It seems like a month since Christmas Break ended, but hey, whadda ya know? It ended just last week:|. I guess the reason it's been going by so slow is because of all the work at school. With exams approaching next week, teacher's just want to cram more work up down our throats and into our stomachs. But, with the first of two three-day weekends here, I'll get some relaxing time before those nasty exams next week. Or, I might even get a four-day weekend;).

You see, I watch the news every morning, and always anticipating snow, I eagerly watch the weather, but have been disappointed too much this winter season. Well, this weekend, I think we might actually get our first snowstorm at last:D. There is a storm system supposedly approaching from the southwest, which is around Colorado, and it is approaching Michigan. I guess you could say that we're getting some of Colorado's winter blast, only (hopefully) not as much as they've gotten. So, Sunday right into Monday, we're supposed to get bombarded with this snowy weather pattern. I hope this causes me to get Tuesday off........

Speaking of winter weather, I just got done watching a movie that fits under that theme. It kinda disappointed me, though. Here it is:

The Ice Storm--7/10

Until Next Time, LATA!

It's Official: I HATE Zelda: Twilight Princess

Just kidding:P. My goodness, that last post I did must've been my most successful one. A whopping 11 comments! Wowzerz. But I'm sorry if the misleading title got a rise out of some of you. No I still haven't beaten it, but with the long weekend coming up, I may get that chance.

But other than Zelda, I decided to tinker around with the Mii Channel on the Wii to see if I could create some that resembled celebrities. Well, I don't know if they really turned out good, but I tried to create Al from Home Improvement (AKA Richard Karn), Sisqo, and Lil Wayne. Before that I just made Rocky and a retarded looking personal Mii, which was my first one. I may make more, since it's pretty fun to use. I just wish there were more options available, which would make it even more awesome.

IN OTHER NEWS............well, nothing much really. Oh, I'm a level higher, which is sweet:D Only 3 more to go until I hit the big 3-0. Boy I can't wait......

Well, I know I usually nag on all the time how much of a loser I am at school, right? Well, the past couple of days, I have noticed how notorious I am for two things, and I shall explain what I am talking about.

First of all, my handwriting. I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I swear, I get commented probably AT LEAST 3 times a day by different people for how amazing it is. Everybody keeps saying how it is compareable, if not BETTER, than a computer:P. Even my Spanish teacher said today that it's the best she's ever seen. Maybe, one day I should scan a paper of mine to show off my godly penmanship on here:P.

Speaking of Spanish, it is in that class that I am becoming notorious for my second thing. You see, the way we learn our Spanish words is she makes us do certain actions for words to let us learn it better. Then, sometimes, she picks on individual people to perform SOME actions for participation points. So, when we first learned "enojado," which is "mad," she picked on me, and I decided to spice things up a bit8). I pretended I was ballistic, instead of the typical, apathetic responce students usually give. And ever since then, I have been well known for that, and everybody in that class cracks up and enjoys when I do it:lol:. Well, that was basically the situation today, and I had everybody in anticipation when the teacher mentioned the word. And when I delivered, she even said that to memorize the word more easily, they could just think of my Spanish name (which I picked Enrique for that class), since Enrique and enojado begin the same way. Ahhhhhh, it takes very little to amuse those underclassman:P.

Alright, that is all for now. Until Next Time, I CONTINUE TO HATE ZELDA:lol:!!!!!!!! Just playin. LATA!

Is Zelda: Twilight Princess A Disappointing Disaster?

Well ladies and gents, the weekend is over, I am seeing it slightly snow outside for the first time in weeks, and I am about to start my last full week for awhile. The reason being is because I get a three-day weekend next weekend, with exams covering that week like fleas on a dog, and then I get ANOTHER three-day weekend after the exams. Plus, my exam days are half-days, so it should be pretty sweet.........omiting the exam part that is. Boy, I sure do need those long weekends already, because school was rough for the first couple days back. I got crammed with homework, and in a couple classes, I was already hinted to expect some early exam work, even if the exams aren't until next week. Yay, the hard times are back:|. Oh well, at least my Christmas break was sweet as hell, and I had some very fun moments that lasted.

I'm almost finished with Zelda Twilight Princess. Even though I said on my last blog post that it was insanely awesome, and treated it like the best game of last year, I am starting to reconsider that. After beating all of the major dungeons (or, at least I THINK so), and am just doing side-quests that need done, I feel disappointed. I remember playing Ocarina of Time, and since each dungeon was a certain temple associated with some sort of element (water, fire, shadow, etc.), I thought that those dungeons were very entertaining and a joy to go through, with memorable bosses. Uhhh, not so much with Twilight Princess. In fact, the only dungeons I only really enjoyed, and felt that they were reminescent (sp?) to some of my favorites from OoT, were the first three. The rest were just so underwhelming IMO. I mean, (caution, may be spoilers) a mansion (the Yetis' home in Snowpeak)? A fortress (in the desert)? A WHOLE FRIGGIN CITY (City in the Sky)?????!!!! Not dungeons:|. Therefore, disappointing to me. But that doesn't mean that the game is bad. It's very awesome, definately one of the best of the year. But, I hate to say this, but I think Okami is better:P. I just hope Final Fantasy XII can make up for the disappointment once I get into it again after beating Zelda.

Ok, enough of my gaming dilemnas, and let me introduce you all to some new movie scores. This week, I've got one of the most repulsive, yet satisfying dark comedies I've ever seen, a notorious B-horror movie that had a very well known phrase by Samuel L. Jackson, and a war movie that I finally watched the whole thing of, but never finished it before. Here they are, in all their glory:

Happiness--9/10

Snakes On A Plane--9.5/10 (this movie f***ing owns:D)

Saving Private Ryan--9/10

Until Next Time, LATA!

Clearing the Holiday Dust

*sigh* Yup. Life is pretty much back to normal again. I've still got Wednesday off, but I pretty much see that as a "meh" day. Probably will play Zelda, maybe some Wii Sports and stuff, I don't know. Speaking of Zelda, what a superb game. I mean, my mouth just continues to be dropped at its vast environments and nostalgic gameplay. Who cares if it is not something new? That's what I wanted: another classic-style Zelda adventure. And that's EXACTLY what it is. Wii Sports and Rayman: Raving Rabbids are addictive as hell, especially Wii Sports. I still can't really get boxing and tennis down yet, though. Bowling and golf I'm doing alright on, I guess. Baseball..........meh. And then there's Final Fantasy XII. Well, I'm kinda disappointed with it. So far, I'm kinda confused with the story, and that damned gambit system I can't seem to get used to. Idk, I guess I just need to get into it a little bit more or something, because with the Wii and Zelda, I am certainly not focusing on Final Fantasy XII as well as I could.

Welp, before school starts back up again, I've got some movie scores to throw at you guys before break ends. Here they are:

Derailed--7.5/10

Little Miss Sunshine--9/10

Jet Li's Fearless--9/10

Monty Python's Life of Brian--No score. The reason being because it was too hard to understand the British accents in it (no offence to any British people on this site), and there were no subtitle options with the edition I got from Netflix, so it was unwatchable for me. Oh well, maybe I'll find a version with subtitles on it someday......

Kung Fu Hustle--8/10

Alright, I guess that is all for now. I hope everyone's New Year's Eve/Day went great. Mine turned out just perfect. For once, my mom actually managed to stay awake, and my dad even came back over at 11:00 PM (he moved out of our trailer again and into a hotel during break) to spend time with us. It was one of the best New Year's Eves I've had in years:). Mmkay, well, you all take care, and Until Next Time, LATA!

My Official Last Blog Post of 2006

Well, well, 2 days left of 2006. BOY it has been a great year, hasn't it:D:D:D?????....................ok, maybe I was just being sarcastic right there about my own year, but I'm sure everyone else had a decent year. Boy oh boy, I've been through some very awkward and sticky situations this year, though, I can tell ya that, which has made this year one of my unluckiest since this new millenium started. Well, even if some of you don't give a crap about how unlucky it was, I'm going to recap my top 5 unluckiest moments. And hey, you might even get a good laugh out of this ridiculous list, too:P! But, of course, you can just skip it entirely if you find it useless talk. Without further ado, here is the countdown:

5.) Stupid seniors. They just HAD to give me a fake Valentine card and fool me to thinking one of my friends in my art class that were girls gave it to me. *sigh* Love is a b**ch.

4.) Well, well. Those seniors in my art class had to strike again, didn't they? All it took was for one of them to "accidently" spill water all over my pants and art project before my rage kicked in. Well, that's the last time he f***ed around with me after that!

3.) Whadda ya know? The stoner/skater kid that lives down the street and NEVER talks to me at the bus stop invites me over to his place for a visit to play some video games. YIPPIE!!!! But, the trip turns out to not be worth it, and what's this? I've got a girl I don't even know calling my phone to speak to her boyfriend in which I let him use my phone? Yeesh.....

2.) Ugh, nothing worse than the transmission going out on the family vehicle on a car trip. Even worse, being stuck in a mountain town for a day to wait for the progress to be improved. Not to mention the chlostrophobia (sp?) being stuck in the backseat of a rented car with all of our junk crammed in it.....

1.) Nothing like a nasty fever coming back and biting you in the ass after 2 years of your immune system keeping you in tip top shape. But this wasn't just your average Joe fever. It was peaking in the 103 degree range to the point of my first hospital emergency situation since I was a baby. Wow, talk about a crappy situation...

Hopefully those links worked out. But anyways, damn, what a year it was for me:?. But hey, I got a Wii in the end, so I guess it payed off:P.

Unfortunately, this year was also a year with a lot of celebrity deaths, as well as (recently added to the list of fatalities) political figures. You've got the crazy Croc Hunter, Steve Irwin, dying from sting rays, unfortunately:(. Then as the year came to an end, legends, such as movie director Robert Altman, actor Peter Boyle, cartoon legend Joseph Barbara, the "Godfather of Soul," James Brown, the former "underated" president Gerald Ford, and finally, probably the biggest death of the year, which just occured moments ago: the downfall of Saddam Hussain (sp?), the former dictator of Iraq. Of course, I'm probably missing a lot more from that list, but may they all rest in peace.........well, maybe except for Saddam:P.

Now, what would be an "Official Last Blog Post" without MOVIE RATINGS!!!!??????? I've got quite a few for ya tonight, and whadda ya know? They were all pretty damn sweet! Here they are:

Jackass Number Two--9.5/10

Rocky--8/10

Rocky Balboa--9/10

The Descent--9/10

Welp, hope you all have a Happy New Year, and remember: don't party too hard and drink, then drive, aight? As for me, I'll probably be tinkering with my Wii, playing my new game Rayman: Raving Rabbids, as well as playing Zelda and Final Fantasy XII. I guess this is it, then. Next blog post will be *gulp* next year:shock:. HERE'S TO NEXT YEAR BEING BETTER!!!!!!! *raises toast* Alright, Until Next Time, see ya in 2007 8)!!!!
