The Calm Before the Storm

Another weekend has passed in this month of April, and already, May is fast approaching. Only 20 more days left of my senior high school year, but those 20 days are going to be madness. Madness!!! Thinking about it, it's going to be my hardest month of the school year, not academically, but emotionally. Realizing that I'm finally graduating and that I'm finally going to be done after 12 years of schooling from kindergarten to 12th grade is going to be tough to face. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to the school years of my life that helped me grow up, learn how to make friends, and that taught me about the world (well, the first 6 years that is, since middle school through high school became boring as hell:P ). Saying goodbye to the friends I made is going to be extremely tough, and even though I'm a guy, there could be a possible chance of shedding a teardrop or two during the final moments spent with my fellow cl@$$mates, especially when I'll be moving away from all of these people. But, before that time even comes, I'm going to make my final month of high school as nice as I can make it. And the fun begins next weekend, with prom.

Let me tell you, I am extremely excited for prom. I rented a tuxedo that I need to pick up on Friday, and I also ordered a nice corsage for Anony Miss to pin on her dress. It consists of 5 carnations with a couple of rhinestones on it to match her royal blue dress, so I'm hoping it looks beautiful. As for myself, I got a single white rose to go with my tuxedo, so I'm going to be decked out like a pimp8). I just wish I had one of those hats with the huge feather on it, then I'd be really styl1n:P. Anyways, I've got all the flower accessories that I need to pick up on Saturday, the day of the prom. I've got my payment in for the party bus, and I even made a mix CD of some hot electronic jams I download on the net here and there for on the way to the prom, so I hope it goes over well with the rest of the group (in which half of the people on the party bus I don't know, and don't even care to get to know:? ). All and all, I'm just ready to get it on for that night.

Even before the prom, though, I FINALLY got a chance to hang out with Anony Miss this past weekend, after so many failed attempts since Snowcoming. At first, things didn't turn out as planned this weekend, though. On Friday, I chatted with her on MSN, and asked her to go the movies with me on Saturday night, and she said she would. Well, fast forward to 7:00 last night, which was 30 minutes before the movie started. I tried calling, but no answer. She never called me, either. So, becoming desperate, I drove all the way to her house to see if she was home, but she wasn't. By that time, it was too late, so I just said to hell with it all, and went home, pissed and disappointed. My biggest pet peeve is when someone says they are going to do something, but then they go against their word. I was prepared to let off some steam the next time I talked to her, but then she called today at around 12. I told her how pissed I was, and she realized it, but she said that she was at her grandma's house, where there was bad phone reception, and also, she had started to take a nap at around 5, but didn't wake up until a few hours later, and she didn't mean for that to happen. I forgave her, because I know how naps can screw up plans easily. I'm just glad she didn't ditch me or anything, like I had predicted. So, to make up for last night, I asked her to go to the movies in the afternoon, and she accepted my offer, so we went.

That brings me to my movie review of:

Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay

One of my highly anticipated movies of the year, Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay has finally arrived in theaters. It starts where the first movie left off, and follows our beloved stoner heroes on more adventures of wacky and awkward situations.........after escaping from Guantanamo Bay, that is. Be warned, though, that this movie becomes quite offensive if you're not a fan of racial humor and the showing of male frontal nudity (as well as, of course, nasty language, but just about every movie has that nowadays, so it's no big deal:P ). Pretty much everybody of every nationality and belief is poked fun at, from Asians, blacks, southerners, gays, Middle Easterners, Mexicans, and probably more. If you can deal with that, though, this movie is hilarious from start to finish. All of the nasty humor is hilarious, and the torch is carried from the first movie to this one with honor in the humor department. In fact, I'd say the humor is more shocking in this one than in the first movie, and there's definitely more moments in this movie that'll make a person more astonished than the first movie. Even if it is hilarious, though, this movie tends to be unoriginal compared to the first movie. I mean, the first one was about two stoners on a journey to find a White Castle to fulfill their hunger needs. If you ask me, that's a unique plot for a stoner comedy. As for this one, eh, not so much. Their goal in this movie? Escaping from prison and stopping a wedding. How many friggin comedies out there have to end with a wedding being stopped, and the protagonist getting the girl that is to be married while the original groom becomes humiliated and defeated in a severe way? Enough with that bullsh*t already! But still, you've gotta give this one credit. It's a breath of fresh air among the sea of comedies divided between the very crappy ones and the Judd Apatow ones, and it's also got another cameo by Neil Patrick Harris in it, so it's sure to provide some laughter and entertainment among audiences everywhere. Highly recommended. An 8/10.

Luckily, I actually have money left over to purchase Grand Theft Auto IV when it comes out on Tuesday. That, and I've got $40 in Wal-Mart gift cards that I've been saving since Christmas to use for it. Unlike with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, though, I'm not absolutely desperate to get this one. If it's not available the day it's released, I can wait, but I hope to get it within the week. Surprisingly, I've been avoiding reviews, gameplay videos, and leaked gameplay footage that's been unleashed throughout the internet this past week, so I'm hoping to be filled with surprise when I play it for the first time. However, I can't afford Xbox Live at the moment, so playing the multiplayer is a no-go for now. But with the focus being on a strong single-player mode, I don't think I'll be disappointed. Also, with barely anything else to worry about in school, now that most of the stress is out of the way, I'll be expecting to play this sucker from the moment I get home from school to the time I hit the haystack everyday.

What blog post wouldn't be complete without a mention of some YouTube videos I found? This week, I'd like you to introduce you to supered86, whom you may remember from this little video I posted a few blogs back. In my opinion, this guy is the funniest man I've seen yet on YouTube. Just watch all of his videos and you'll see what I mean. In every single video he does, he HAS to have at least a few moments of randomness, which is why he's so funny. Of course, it helps to be a fan of random humor, in which I am extremely. This man may be the king of random comedy on YouTube. My highest recommendations to start out with are this, this, this, and this. Enjoy!

Well, I'm done talking my ass of for this week, so I hope everyone has a great week!

Time To Lay Back................Or Is the Stress Just Beginning?

Well, folks, the monstrosity that I had to live through known as a "senior project" is finally done and over with. On Thursday, I got up in front of the class, did my thang, and next thing I know, I got a 100. The teacher even commented that I was a good storyteller, which made me feel good:). I wanted to celebrate with friends, but they were busy after school that day, so I didn't. I can finally feel my stress level going down, but it's not quite gone yet. I've been trying to get other sh*t done this weekend, such as filling scholarships out and getting a book report done. You probably notice that it's AP English that is still being a nuisance with the work, and you are right. It just never ends! Even though the teacher is promising that we'd take it easy after the AP exam in a couple of weeks, I still don't buy it. I bet she is still going to make us do tedius and strenuous work that is going to make us students want to pull every single hair and parts of our scalp from our head.

Other than that, I really have nothing else to say today. No movie reviews, no drama with friends, no more excuses to make Steve Guttenburg appear, no new funny videos released on YouTube that I found. Well, scratch that, there IS one. It's the sequel to Charlie the Unicorn, and it's pretty hilarious. Besides that, I'm all out of things to talk about.

So.....

Ummm.....

Errrr.....

Ababa.....

Little rascals.....

Rascal Flatts.....

Boot camp.....

I love to sing-a.....

Yeah, I've got nothing. SORRY. Except for a picture of Willem Dafoe:

Hooray.

My Armpits Are Going To Sweat With Intimidation...

Spring Break has came and gone once again, and I've been back at school for 3 days now. That was probably one of the most pathetic Spring Breaks I've ever had. I barely did ANYTHING. I didn't hang out with anybody, I only left the house a few times during that whole timespan of a week, and most of all, I was constantly bored. I became so bored that after watching those goofy "Over 9000" and "Balls Are Inert" videos over and over again, I actually watched Dragonball Z episodes on YouTube! I gave up being a fan about 5 years ago, what the hell? I even watched the movie Bio-Broly one night.

Yes, an actual Dragonball Z MOVIE. Sorry, but because it isn't exactly what I'd call "full-length" (clocking in at under an hour) and it was closely related to the show without anything new that is distinct from the television series, it doesn't warrent a review.

And then, I took my N64 out of the closet and started playing Donkey Kong 64 and even a little The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. There's just that desire I have from time to time to go back into some old school gaming and experience the magic all over again when I get bored out of my mind. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that way;).

Oh, and we had some severe weather on Friday that added some excitement to my life for once:roll:. Like always, the county I live in avoided the worst of it, fortunately, so it was alright. You want to know something funny, though? The next night, there was actually snow:|. Luckily, it wasn't much, and it melted immediately. I haven't seen any snow since, though, and I welcome these warm temperatures with open arms:).

There you go, my Spring Break in a nutshell, with pictures and all. But, I'm back in school again, which means I'm back to being busy again, especially this week. Tomorrow is my big senior presentation, in which I have to go up in front of a cl@$$ (seriously, when is Glitchspot going to fix this? ) and talk about my subject for about 20 minutes while explaining facts about it, explaining my service hours, and using two visual aids to help get my point across. I actually did 3 visual aids, which consists of making handouts, a survey, and bookmarks (which were hell to get printed out:evil: ). I'm pretty nervous about it, but luckily, my best friend is going to be presenting in that same hour with me, so she'll be at my side. After this sh*t, though, all the stress that I've been carrying on my shoulders since November will be lifted. F*ck final exams, f*ck any future homework or tests in my cl@$$es, this has been the nucleus of my stress for months, and once I am finished with it, I'm going to consider my travels through my senior year a successful mission. So, wish me luck.

Prom is also approaching quickly, which I can't wait for now. I went to order Anony Miss a corsage to pin to her dress on Monday. It consists of five carnations with two rhinestones, so I think it looks gorgeous. I really hope she appriciates it. My friend also made arrangements for a party bus, and I jumped aboard on the deal, so it should be a blast. Most of the people coming along I know, so it's all good. It beats the hell out of driving my own vehicle, because the place where my prom is going to be located is about an hour away, and I don't think after hours of dancing and being exhausted that I'll feel like driving an hour back home, especially since it will be late at night, too. I really hope everything goes well.

And I wish that Anony Miss would hang out with me again, because it feels like to me that she wants nothing to do with me anymore:(. She's always busy and hanging out with other friends, and I just want to spend time with her before we part ways in the summer. I thought we were best friends, and that she would want to hang out often, but I guess I am being proven wrong. It seems like after Snowcoming, this has been happening. I also thought that the least she could do after I asked her to prom and paid for her expensive prom ticket and for her corsage was to ask me to hang out with her or something, but NO. It all goes to sh*t. I don't know what the problem is. I almost regret asking her to prom even...

Anyways, I better start preparing for my big day tomorrow by standing in front of my bathroom mirror and talking to myself like a socially lacking loser, rehearsing what I'm supposed to be doing. Take care.

A Return To My Grizzind....(That means *grind* in izzle-talk)

Oh joy! Movie reviews! *rubs hands together like I'm about to start gobbling up a huge feast*

No Country For Old Men

You have no idea how much I've been wanting to see this movie. It's one of the most critically praised movies of 2007, it won 5 Oscars (including Best Picture), and it stars some superb acting talent. After seeing the end credits pop up at the end, though, I was severely disappointed. I began to wonder what all of the buzz was about. I just didn't see how this movie was a masterpiece like most people claim it to be. Sure, the acting was great, but that was about it for me. The plot wasn't anything exciting, and generally pretty weak. A lunatic goes around killing everyone in his way to get to the man who took money left on a site of a drug deal gone wrong, WOO HOO!!! That's the whole movie in a nutshell. If anything, it was almost like a slasher movie to me, only without a masked, silent demon with a butcher knife. Although I do admit, the villian was pretty badass, flipping coins on occasion to let the victim decide if they live or die. The way he did his dirty deeds was pretty hardcore as well, using a unique weapon. Other than that, though, I just didn't see what the big deal is. Maybe it's one of those movies I have to "analyze" to get what the actual point is, but I'm not a huge fan of those kinds of movies. I do enough of that sh*t in English cl@$$, I don't need to be doing it while entertaining myself with a movie. If I have to think while watching a movie, I'd prefer movies such as Memento, where the complex plot is worth thinking about. That's it right there, I'd prefer movies where I have to think about the PLOT, not other microscopic elements. What I'm saying is, I'm sure there's more to this movie than meets the eye, but I don't feel like going under its skin to investigate it. Besides, I didn't really care for the Coen Brothers' previous movies, and this one is no acception, so I'm not really a fan of theirs. This overrated movie gets a 6.5/10.

Rescue Dawn

It's been awhile since I've seen a good Vietnam movie. The last one I watched was probably The Deer Hunter last year. It's a shame that Rescue Dawn went under most people's radars last year, because it is superb. It is the true story of a pilot who crash lands in the jungles of Laos, only to be captured by the enemy and put in a POW camp. While there, he survives with 5 other interesting characters, and eventually plans an escape. Most of the movie takes place in the POW camp, and does a very good job of depicting what it could've been like. I've seen it compared to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest somewhere, and I can see why. It is a story of freedom and the determination to try to escape, just as in the Jack Nicholson movie. Christian Bale gives an awesome performance like usual, and he even provides comic relief at times (about half the time he was on screen during the whole movie, he is hilarious). Steve Zahn gives a surprisingly good performance and proves that he can act, rather than play in stupid comedies. Jeremy Davies gives the most shocking performance as a disgustingly skinny, delusional man. I thought the movie was very entertaining, and can be put on the list of cl@$$ic Vietnam movies. It gets a 9/10.

Beowulf

I've never read the epic poem that this movie was based off of, but I still knew the basis of this movie: monster terrorizes town of people, hero comes to kill monster, monster's mother is pissed, then hero has to kill monster's mother. It still comes across as an entertaining epic, though. It reminded me a lot of The Polar Express (Both movies were directed by the same guy.) because of the animation and camerawork, especially one scene where it zooms in on a mouse crawling on ceiling beams, but when it reaches the outside roof, an eagle swoops it up and the camera follows the eagle to a far away distance. Speaking of the animation, I really liked it. The motion capturing especially is impressive, since the faces of the people in the movie closely resemble the person doing their voice acting. I highly doubt that Ray Winstone's body is that buff, though:P. The movie barely ever got boring, since there was constant action going on. However, one thing that really bugged me was the predictable scares that this movie provided. Seriously, what was it trying to be, a horror movie? There were at least two scenes that must've made me jump (yes, I jump easily while watching movies with predictable scare moments). I had a good time watching this one, though, and the intimidating moments are few and far between. I recommend it definitely to those who haven't read the poem. If you HAVE read the poem, then you might be one of those picky people who get irritated when the movie isn't EXACTLY like the poem, so I don't know if I'd recommend it or not. Nevertheless, it gets an 8/10.

General Hospital

...................oh, this is a show on daytime television on ABC. Not a movie. Ok, I guess I'm done with the movie reviews then. It IS a pretty badass soap opera, though. It may sound pathetic, but I find myself attached to it everyday now. Maybe I need professional help or something, but I think it's pretty awesome for a soap opera. It isn't your typical daytime borefest, either, with a bunch of lovey-dovey bullsh*t and that's it. It's got mobsters, assassins, hot babes (or hot hunks for the ladies out there), and even the occasional action sequence that involves a gunfight or a catfight or whatever8). Doesn't that make you want to watch it? No? Well then go f*ck yourselves:P...........................did I mention that the guy that does the voice of Cloud in the new Final Fantasy VII compilation games and the Kingdom Hearts series stars on the show? Convinced yet? No? THEN GO TO HELL!!!!!!

Ok, ok, so I admit it. I'm getting bored on my Spring Break. Everybody else gets to go on a fancy vacation in the Caribbean sitting on the beaches examining the sunset on the horizon while partying in bikinis and bathing suits, getting more drunk than a hobo that finds $1000 in a dumpster (not that I would drink, though, because I never want to touch an alcoholic beverage for as long as I live), while I'm sitting here in Michigan, watching movies and soap operas and playing Donkey Kong 64. I've barely been out of the house, except today when I had to go to the doctor because I'm getting heartburn so bad. The doctor made me take a blood test to see if I had an ulcer, and after almost passing out (which was unusual, because I'm usually alright with needles:? ), the blood test was a success. Now I have to wait a few days for the results. My mom tells me an ulcer isn't too bad and millions of people get ulcers each year, so it's quite common. I just hope I get this mess fixed soon. Like my mom told me, I'm too young to have this kind of sh*t happen to me:|.

I found out something interesting about my mom last week. One of her high school friends got a hold of her email address, and they reminised about high school memories and such. Apparently, my mom went to high school with Robert Patrick, the guy that plays T-1000 in Terminator 2 and who was on The X-Files. She never associated with him because he was captain of the football team, though:P. Still, it's cool to know my mom went to school with a guy that would one day be a famous actor. That would be funny if there was a high school reunion, and my mom actually got to meet him. Doubt that would ever happen, though. There's a better chance that I see this in real life. Or this.

The 9000 balls are now inert.

Alright, I apologize for that. I took it too far. I hope your IQ didn't drop...........much.

For Real, Let's Get Back To Business

Haha, April Fools Day. Either you hate it or you love it. Generally, I hate it, because I expect people at school to play prank after prank, and I even think that someone might take it too far. Surprisingly, though, when I went to school yesterday, April Fools wasn't even mentioned ONCE, which was weird, yet it was nice. But of course, I come home and search the web, and it's everywhere:P. So, I decided to play a little joke on you people just for kicks. Yeah, it was predictable in a way, but I still almost fooled some people, if not actually succeeded fully. To those that thought I really WAS going away and didn't bother to click that link at the end, well, I'm still here, and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. So, with that said, let's get back to usual business...

Spring Break is just around the corner, and I've been kneedeep in school work trying to get as much done as I can, which is generally the reason why I haven't been on here for awhile. I'm finally starting to see the bright side with the field of flowers and butterflies flying around, because I finally got my service hours for my senior project done AND my research paper completely done. For my final task for this dastardly excuse to graduate at my school, I have to present my senior project to a class in the middle of the month. That means summarizing my research paper, explaining my hours, and finding two ways to present my topic, whether it be making a Powerpoint, showing a video clip, MAKING a video clip, creating a survey, creating a handout, and a ton of other options. I'm not particularly thrilled about this, since the school has already made seniors suffer enough, but oh well. Might as well not bother whining and get the job done. Besides, I get to present to the same class that my new best friend is presenting to as well, so that'll be a blast:D.

Speaking of Spring Break, what's my plans? Staying at home like usual:P. It's cool, though, because I haven't even gotten tired of playing Brawl yet, and I'd be willing to play the hell out of it the whole time. I've also got friends I can try to hangout with, too. And there's the stupid project to work on. Yup, just because I'm not on a fancy vacation doesn't mean I'm going to be bored.

I better enjoy it while it lasts, though, because the next few months are going to be some of the busiest months I'll experience this year. In May, there's E3 (ALREADY!!!), my last day of school, a bunch of senior related crap I have to take part in, prom, me playing GTAIV after it comes out at the end of this month, and probably much more. Then, in June, my actual graduation takes place, as well as a graduation party that's going to be combined with 3 other graduating seniors, one being Anony Miss. Also, I have to start packing for moving to Georgia, because I got accepted to the college I applied to. July is when I'm probably moving down there, looking for a job while getting ready for college and getting reacquainted with some old friends, while my mom tries to sell our trailer up here. WHEW!!!!!! That's my next few months in a nutshell. I'm sure you'll hear more about it when the time comes:P.

Oh, and guess what premiered last night on Fox? F*cking Hell's Kitchen!

Ironic that my favorite reality show would premiere on April Fool's Day, isn't it? And it's early, too. Usually when a new season begins, I have my air conditioner on, I'm enjoying summer vacation, I'm wearing shorts, and I stay up late. This time, it is still cold outside, I am still in school, and I lose sleep for school the next day:P. However, it looks like it will be yet another dynamic season. All of the men seem like complete dumbasses, though:lol:. But just look that them all in the picture. What a bunch of weirdos.

I watched one movie a couple of weekends ago, but I'm too lazy to review it, so here's the score:

The Brave One--8.5/10

Lastly, I have a video for you. I'm sure some of you have heard of a series of video game spoofs created by a guy on newgrounds.com named Egoraptor known as The Awesome series. There's Awesome the Hedgehog, Resident Awesome 4, The Legend of Awesome, and more. My absolute favorite has to be Metal Gear Awesome, though, because it's just filled with so much randomness that it's hysterical. Well, recently, a sequel to that has come out, and it can be seen right here. It almost matches the original, but I still think nothing beats the first.

I'm off to play some more Brawl now. I hope to see some of you on there!

I Hate To Do This, But Fare Thee Well Gamespot

Some of you are probably saying to yourselves, "LOLZ!!!! IT'S APRIL FOOLZ DAY MAYNE!!!!! I AINT FALLIN FOR THIS!!!! NICE TRY GOHANTECHSSSS!!!!!!" Well, hate to break it to you, but this is no joke. I'm actually leaving Gamespot. After being on here for about 3 years now, I figured it's time to move on. My next two months as a senior in high school are going to be out of this world with so much to do, and I'm not going to have time to be on here, creating blog posts frequently. As you can tell, I haven't been that up to date with my blog posts as it is lately, so that's bad enough. Besides, by the time I get out of high school, there's my future I need to be concerned with as well, so, once again, I won't have the time to be on here.

But before I go, I just want to thank those who have been with me all this time to read my blogs and become internet friends of mine. So many shoutouts to name, it's going to be like an Oscar acceptance speech:P. brandyinindiana, thank you for constantly dropping comments and offering insight about how to become a great bargain shopper. VGK, your humor and your witty comments have always kept my laughter sky high, and those times I ripped off your dialogue sequences were golden times:P. Kravyn, my thanks go to you for making me obsessed with Jeff Goldblum, and providing me advice whenever I needed it. AndrewXXXXX (wherever you are:P ), your knowledge of movies and your movie reviews have made me become more interested in cinema. Foolz3h, may you someday obtain Super Smash Bros. Brawl so you can finally truly appriciate its greatness instead of teasing yourself with creative stories of what COULD'VE happened:P. Other shoutouts include:

collective, jjr10, spawnhellraiser, Aljosa, apocalypse, agent401, liquid_s, taz412, Orlando_Magic, houtx1836, aclark24, and many others I probably forgot but will probably be pissed at me by bombarding the comments section with "WHEREZ MY NAME!!!????" comments:P.

To all of those who put up with my countless movies reviews, constant goofiness, consistent originality, intruiging obsessions with Steve Guttenberg and Jeff Goldblum, tales of high school drama, and occasional rage, I thank you all very much. This has been a blast coming on Gamespot everyday to do this, and I'm glad I (sorta) met you guys. I hope you all take care of yourselves, and who knows? Maybe we shall meet again someday........

One last thing. Here's one last piece of artwork I want to share with you people before I end this last blog post of mine. I guess you could say it actually sums up how I'm feeling in this final, goodbye blog post, too, so it fits right in. Enjoy. And fare thee well....

WARNING: A New Blog Post Approaching

I guess I'm long overdue for another post, huh? Jeeze, 11 days. Haven't gone that long since......well, I don't think I ever have gone this long without an update. I'm sure you know one primary reason why I've been gone for so long, too;). Brawl is pretty f*cking insane as far as a video game goes. It seems like this game has everything and a bag of Chex Mix. Instead of writing long, tedius paragraphs about the game, I'll share my pros and cons in bullet form (despite being almost a week late for Brawl impressions:P ):

Pros:

--No character is really a clone in the game because there is always something completely different with each character. Take Ganondorf for example. He has always been considered a bigger and slower clone of Captain Falcon. Well, his side + B move will tell you otherwise;). Plus, the final smashes are different for both characters. Probably the only characters that are the closest clones are all of the Starfox characters, but that's no big deal.

--Don't listen to critics when they say that the single player mode is repetitious and boring. It's not. It is awesome, being able to see all of your favorite Nintendo characters collaborate in a huge adventure.

--Instead of one taunt, there are three taunts for each character.

--The coin launcher is a huge improvement from the crappy lottery in Melee in order to obtain trophies. It even gets addictive.

--Jigglypuff ROXXORZ!!!!

--MASTER HAND IS ACTUALLY A PLAYABLE, HIDDEN CHARACTER!!!!!!!!! Just kidding:P.

--There are a crapload of modes to keep you busy for a long time.

--This is the first time I have ever been concerned over the music in a game (unless it's licensed, like in GTA). Recognizing tunes from the Delfino Plaza tune in Super Mario Sunshine, to the Gerudo Valley theme in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, to friggin Sonic Boom from Sonic CD, to EVEN THE WII SHOP CHANNEL MUSIC, is pretty awesome. In fact, when I created a stage in the stage creator, I used the Wii Shop Channel music for the level just to see what it was like. It was very unique:P.

Unfortunately, cons:

--THE ONLINE MODE NEEDS TO BE FIXED:evil:. I'm sick of the lagging. Seriously, my friend and I were playing each other one night, and we just started joking around about how ridiculous our characters looked and what it looked like they were doing because the lag was so bad. It turned a 2 minute match turn into a 30 minute lagfest. Also, how come half the time, I can't find anyone to play on the "With Anyone" mode? And I've tried the team match mode, but I've never gotten that to work yet.

--The target and cl@$$ic modes are disappointments. Instead of each character getting their own unique target smash stage like in Melee, there are 5 difficulty levels of the same target smash for every character. As far as the cl@$$ic mode goes, it is no longer random. It seems to follow a certain order now, which takes away the surprise:(. Gone are the extra bonus stages such as the trophy snatching and racing to the finish stages, too.

--The stage creator is bland and frustrating. If you place a major piece on the stage, you're pretty much screwed over for placing other pieces next to it, since it takes up more room than it should.

--Some of the new stages are annoying as hell. For example, like a lot of people, I absolutely HATE the new Donkey Kong Rumble Falls stage. The way it scrolls is a nuisance. But what can you expect? It's a crappy Donkey Kong stage taken from a crappy Donkey Kong game for the Gamecube.

--The shooting mini game at the end credits screen has been downgraded a bit, and isn't 3d like in Melee. It also doesn't tell all of the people that worked on the game, and instead, lists all of the trophies, characters, Pokemon, and assist trophies. However, it does award you coins this time around, so that's a plus.

I could tell more details, but I'm sure most of you people interested in, or have played, Brawl already know the rest. Interestingly enough, I decided to make Jigglypuff my main, and I've been trying to master him the best I can. People usually view him (or her, whichever you prefer:P ) as the underdog and a filler character in the Smash Bros. games, but I want to become good with him. His down special is pretty devastating, but I still don't know how to exactly use it. So, once again, here's my code in case anyone wants a good match (I'm looking at you, VGK:evil: ): 0001-2985-1037. I also play as Snake, too, so you might get lucky and I'll use a character that you consider "good" when I fight you:P. Anyways, Brawl isn't the best game I've ever played, but it's probably the best game I've played since Resident Evil 4. It truly is THE best Wii game yet.

Moving on, since I'm sure some of you are sick of the buzz surrounding the best selling Wii game. Another reason I haven't been on here is school. I'm trying to get my senior project finished once and for all, so that's what's mostly been taking up my time. I've also had other sh*t to do (mostly English stuff:roll: ), so I've been pretty occupied. Being a senior is a b*tch, but I've already stated that before, so no need to be repetitious.

But I've also made a new best friend, too. Remember when I said that there was this crazy girl that went with Anony Miss and I to Snowcoming? Well, it seems like I've been hanging out with her more and more. It's nice to actually have someone who wants to hang out with me all the time. However, I am NOT attracted to this girl or anything, so don't get any ideas:evil:. We're just good friends. Besides, she's too insane to be my type anyways:P. I mean, we went to Wal-Mart on Saturday night last weekend, and she was singing, cussing, and saying stuff that's on her mind right in front of people, like she didn't give a sh*t:lol:. I was waiting for somebody to complain, but I'm surprised nobody did. It was extremely funny:lol:. Speaking of Anony Miss, though, each time I try to talk to her or ask her to hang out with me, it seems like she's always busy hanging out with some other friend or something to that extent:(. And here I'm going to be taking her to prom. How can I take someone to prom without first hanging out with them a lot before that? Oh well, maybe this weekend.

This weekend is Easter weekend for those who live under a box buried under a boulder in a dark cave on a distant planet. It's weird, because I only have a 4 day weekend. I usually have a full spring break when Easter comes around, but this time, they are separate. I think it was this way last year as well, but I can't remember. I don't think I'm doing anything other than staying home on Easter, playing Brawl or something. But tomorrow I have a birthday party to go to, so I'll be out of the house. I also have to finish up getting my hours for my senior project, so I'm going to try and do some more volunteer work and try to find some documentaries that have to do with my subject. If anyone knows of any documentaries that have anything to do with post-traumatic stress disorder, or war veterans that go through combat trauma, give me some suggestions. I'll be very thankful, because right now, I'm having a hard time:(.

Have a wonderful Easter everyone, and I'll hopefully see you next week sometime:).

Oh, one last thing before I go. I have to share this wonderful dance number to everyone. And be sure to read the comments as well. Apparently, Mr. Happy is VEWY WOVABLE by some of the people who commented:P.

What A Disappointment of a Weekend....Until Today

This whole weekend has sucked ass so far. Everything I had planned on doing was backfired in some little way, and I'm left in sheer disappointment. Why can't anything go my way for once? Does everything have to seem too good to be true in my life? I'm f*cking sick of it. I work hard at school during the week, the least that could be done is that I get a weekend to do what I want to do. But no. It's too much to ask for:|.

For example, I was disapproved for the reduced lunch at school. Apparently my mom makes too much money to be considered. We live in a trailer and both of my moms can barely supply groceries every week. And we're still not poor enough:roll:. Seriously, how poor do we have to be to qualify for this? Living in a dumpster poor? Well, now I have to continue to ask my dad for lunch money all the time, and also, I have to hand over $84 for an AP test. I decided I'm only going to take the AP English exam because my teacher wants me to SOOOOO bad. As far as the Calculus one goes, f*ck that sh*t. I'm not wasting $84 to fail.

Then, on Friday night, I decided to do some more volunteer work at the VFW for my senior project. My goal, just like my last visit, was to get another 4 hours in. Well, that night, there wasn't any big dinner going on or any big event, so all I was told to do was to clean the bathrooms (cleaning a women's bathroom is the most awkward thing I've ever done:? ) and wipe the tables. That got me only 1 and a half hours:|. B*tch of a son. Luckily, I get to come back on the 14th to help out with a St. Patrick's Day dinner or something, so maybe I'll get more. All I know is, I better get this sh*t done quick, because I have to have my hours in by the 28th.

There WAS actually some good to this weekend, though. On Thursday, convinced by my mom, I called Anony Miss and asked her to go to prom with me. She seemed weirded out because I called her randomly to ask her that, but she said yes anyways. I was joyful to that. I think I'm actually starting to fall for her, too, but I don't know if I should express my feelings or not. Her and I "went out" in like the 4th grade, and we've been good friends for years. After Snowcoming, I just can't stop thinking about her, though. I don't know if she has the same feelings for me, though. I guess I'll just see what's in store for me in the future before I make any instant decisions. But anyways, back to prom. My dad and I went to this tuxedo rental place yesterday so I could get measured out and pick out a pimpin tux. And that was about my highlight of the day.

But then that evening turned into a disappointment as well. Anony Miss and I were supposed to hang out that night, and I was really looking forward to it. Well, I couldn't get a hold of her, so I just drove to her house. One of her friends was over:|. And they were all relaxed watching Sweeney Todd (don't ask how they managed to get a copy:P ). So I sat there the whole time, feeling out of place and like I should've left, but I didn't. When the movie ended, all they did was listen to crappy music I hate (Why can't I find a friend who is a hip-hop lover like me? ) and look through Rolling Stone magazines, trying to find this article about this one dude in this one band that I didn't give a sh*t about. I sat there, bored the whole time. By the time her friend left, it was already pretty late, and Anony Miss was already too tired to go out and do anything, so I was sh*t out of luck for the rest of that night. I just went home, disappointed.

However, just now, the greatest thing happened: I FINALLY GOT MY HANDS ON BRAWL!!! At first I wasn't having luck, since K-Mart and Wal-Mart both said that they wouldn't receive shipments until Tuesday. But then my mom made me go grocery shopping at Meijer, and since I couldn't get a hold of them due to an annoying busy signal, I decided to drive there to get the groceries and check to see if Brawl was there. Luckily, it was! It was a miracle! Haven't played it yet, but I'm going to jump right in in a moment:D.

At least I could look on the bright side for my weekend. There was supposed to be a massive winter storm for us this weekend, but it was canceled, and it was further south than the weathermen predicted. Thank god for that. I'm sorry for the huge venting. Sometimes I have to do that so I can move on. I don't think I'm the only one that does it, though, so it's natural. But hey, at least in the end, I got Brawl, so I'm happy now. Now if you'll excuse me, time to get her started8). I'll post my friend code as soon as I can. Either that, or read A Streetcar Named Desire for English:(...

Pajamas, Fish, Cars, and Secret Agent Foxes

Today, I bring you a little trip down memory lane. Back in the day, when I was a little young'n, all I had was a Windows 95 PC for gaming. My favorite genre was the adventure game genre (thanks to Goosebumps: Escape From Horrorland (which starred Jeff Goldblum, of all people, as Dracula:lol: ) being my first CD-rom game ever:P ), and some of my favorites from back then were The Curse of Monkey Island, King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride, and, oddly enough, this. It's games like these that have made the adventure genre one of my favorites, and over the years, I've been blessed to play such gems as The Longest Journey, Indigo Prophecy, and much more. As a kid, though, there were these kid adventure games made by a company called Humongous Entertainment that expanded my love for the genre. I'm sure some of you might remember these games. Pajama Sam. Freddi Fish. Putt-Putt. Spy Fox (Star Fox's older brother:P ). If you people don't recognize these characters, well, you're not true gamers:P. These were some of the most fun adventure games of my childhood. Well, the reason I decided to bring this up is I found some video walkthroughs of these games on YouTube, and not only does it bring back nostalgia, but it features hilarious commentary by this Australian dude. Check out this one of Pajama Sam: No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside. This dude is my new YouTube obsession:P. I can't wait to watch his videos on the Putt-Putt games.

Nothing else has been happening, other than my mom's birthday was yesterday, and I've been working hard at school. My mind's also been focused about something that I've been thinking about since Snowcoming, but that's going too personal there. I've also been pissing my pants in anticipation for Brawl to come out, which is:

Brawl Sunday--4 DAYS!!!!!!!

I don't know if I want to stay up until 12:00 on Saturday to get it or not. I think it would be worth it, because I'd play that sucker all night long. And since it's not a highly anticipated console, I can hopefully rest assured that there won't be any insane lines to get the game. Whoever has got a Wii on my friends list, you better lend me your friend code, because we're going to play some online Brawl together. And I've been playing a lot of Melee lately, so you better be prepared:twisted:. Actually, the truth is I'll probably get my ass handed to me on a paper plate:P. Then I'll go play Freddi Fish in shame...

Speaking of Smash Bros, time to get some more game time in on Melee. I've still got a few more trophies to go, and there's still a friggin stage to unlock! I think it's the Poke Floats stage. I have no idea how to get it, but it doesn't matter, since that is a crappy stage anyways. I'm just worried about the trophies. I'm up to 270. Anyways, I'm out.

Was Snowcoming Worth It?

Oh boy, what a night I had last night. It was crazy. As you all probably know, my Snowcoming dance was last night, and you're probably wondering how it went. Either that, or you're wondering when I'll cut the bullsh*t and write more movie reviews:P. If the latter is the case, well, then go see AndrewXXXXX's blog for the movie reviews, since he finally returned. For now, you gotta put up with more coverage of my senior year adventures:P.

It almost looked as if the dance would've been cancelled again, due to the weather. We were under a Snow Advisory in the morning, and expected to get 2-4 inches of snow:|. Luckily, it wasn't so bad by the time the afternoon rolled around, and so the dance was still on. I was even feeling better, and my cold was almost completely gone. I pimped myself out in basically the same get-up I was in for Homecoming, and picked up my girls. That's right, girls, with an S. I was rolling with more than one girl once again. This time, it was only two, and one was Anony Miss and the other was this crazy girl I know from school who is also friends with Anony Miss. And these two together = INSANITY!!!!! Seriously, I felt like a damn sensitive pansy when I was around these two. As far as the actual dance went, I hung around with some of the crew I went with at Homecoming at times, including Amelia. It was a fun time, even though I felt like my heart was going to palpitate from dancing too much. I think the problem now is that I need to exercise more, though:P. Then after the dance, me and my two homies basically drove around the town for the hell of it (we did that before the dance, too:P), until I dropped them both off and I headed home myself. I felt exhausted, but it seemed worth it. I thought Homecoming was a little more memorable, but I still had a blast. I got some pics, but ain't no way in hell am I sharing them on here. Sorry:P.

With that out of the way, wonder what I'm going to do about prom? That's a few months away, so I still have time to plan. Will I go with the same people that I went with this time? Will I go with the group I went with at Homecoming? Will I ask somebody completely out of the blue? Who knows?

Now, time to countdown the days until SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL COMES OUT!!!!!!!!

Brawl Sunday--8 days

Holy sh*t. It's getting down to the nitty gritty now:P. I think later on today I'll play some Melee, and maybe play in little bits throughout the week. When that game comes out, I'm probably going to be a hermit in my room for weeks:P. Too bad I have a research paper that's due on the 14th:cry:. WHY!!!!!?????????

Alright, gotta go to the auto parts store with my dad to get a new fanbelt for my car. It's making these nasty squealing noises everytime I start it up, and it needs a new fanbelt. I think I'm going to search for something to eat as well, since I haven't eaten sh*t since lunchtime yesterday. Wouldn't it be something if I went anerexic? Lawd I don't want to think about it......
