If the flu shot doesn't reduce your immunity then why are you not supposed to get one if you have a fever or if you are less than 6 months old? Also you are wrong most of the deaths caused by flu like symptoms are classified as an "unknown respiratory disease" and NOT H1N1 (in the Ukraine).[QUOTE="gomer69"]

No, your body has thousands of each of those cell types with many thousand more in reserve in the spleen and the potential to make thousands more than that from the bone marrow. Your body has more than enough resources to fight off any infection as long as the infection doesn't get ahead and/or the body has seen the infection before.
What you're talking about in the Ukraine is not a conspiracy. That's called a mistake along with paranoia. There have only been a few hundred deaths with the majority of cases CONFIRMED as H1N1 swine flu. Plus, we're dealing with a country without the resources or the medical technology to potentially deal with the millions infected. This is feeding off the previous Baxter vaccine shipping mistake with everyone believing now that Spanish Flu is spreading everywhere. It's utterly ridiculous.

There are multiple reasons ranging from an inappropriate immune response to the vaccine when severely ill to an inability to recognize vaccine side effects in the very ill person. No vaccine in those less than 6 months is in effect for multiple reasons. First, the humoral side of the immune system is not fully developed. Hence, the reason why most babies are still breast feeding and acquiring their passive immunity from their mothers. However, the primary reason why age limits are set on vaccinations is because the vaccines are tested on certain groups and only those groups get FDA approval to get the vaccine, because it's never been tested in any other group even if it is probably safe.
lol we both know i could find hundreds of links that say the flu shot increases your chance of getting sick for a couple of weeks after getting it, so i don't know why you bother to continue arguing this... if getting the flu shot didn't reduce your body's ability to cope with infections for a short period after taking it then old people would get pneumonia shots every year, instead of just once over the age of 65...
