I don't know all the facts in the story, but quite frankly to be honest I have a feeling that neither do the people reporting on this. The media absolutely thrives on panic. If they had a bona fide story that there was this deadly outbreak that was going to kill us all, you'd better believe that it'd be all over the front pages rather than relegated to sites that exist basically to propagate fear and conspiracies. It is generally a good idea not to take whatever you read on a blog as guaranteed truth.

The whole "evil vaccines" conspiracy has been floating around the internet ever since the first "swine flu" outbreak was detected earlier this year, MONTHS earlier this year (it started back in March, iirc). How is it NOT old?

In 1976, the last time we saw a swine flu scare, people were predicting that if there were mass vaccinations, then it would be 1918 all over again. Over 40 million people were vaccinated. And it was, predictably, not 1918 all over again.

It boggles my mind how people can just keep making these assertions again and again and again despite being wrong every single time. It's almost as if they're hoping they'll be right this time.

The news story was, not that H1N1 was gonna kill a bunch of people, but that the company Baxter International, retro fitted the 1918 flu into their vaccine. That flu was a respiratory disease. The thing is tho, a PhD microbiologist threw away his career working for a company, and his life, because he claimed that they were gonna kill a bunch of people, with a specific disease. less than 2 months after he was arrested, his claim came true. Why would he throw his life away, if he didn't believe what he was saying. Also most of the deaths in Ukraine have been attributed to some other respiratory disease other than H1N1, and every day there is an increase of people dieing to the plague. The numbers seem not out of the ordinary, because they are being mixed with flu infections. but i think I read somewhere that 2000-3000 people where infected so far (since Nov 1) by the plague in ukraine, and something like 20-30 people a day have been dieing (and those are only the reported cases).
