I bought Quake4 yesterday, my PC is totally up to date and all games run perfect besides that one. The thing is, it won't even load the city for installation. Yes, I deactivated all antivirus/firewalls softwares but as soon as I put the CD in the drive, it won't even load, it just makes a strange noise like you floor a car engine and then get off the pedal again, floor and let go again, floor it and let go again, it sounds exactly the same. I doubt it is a CD-Rom problem since I can play and install any other games on it perfectly.

The Gas Mask people are not clovens, they are special commandos, probably American and here is what I think about them:

America was supposedly not to be involved in the war but we all know it is not of their interest so it is obvious that they probably sent some elite trained soldiers as a spearhead or recon-intelligence detachment into Britain to assist way before the major US offensive with purposesto gather intelligence etc. Those soldiers seem to be very important because many of them have a emergency-locating beacon distressing SOS signals on 121.5 MhZ, many of them often happen to be around important intelligence data or new special weapons. They are however always found dead deep in enemy installations. Remember, they seem to have been the ones planting the charges on one of the bridges since a dead squad of them is found near the bridge with Intel-Map on where to place the C-4 for a 100% destruction of the bridge. You also hear radio chatter about how someone with an American accent is calling them over the radio to respond and examine what is going on, some of them also get orders to pull out. However, they seem to be a one-commando outfit, not involved with fighting alongside your soldiers.

They are shadow ops, America knew more about the enemy than people think, I am not surprised if the yanks are somehow involved with all of this to begin with.

They are not clovens, that is for sure.

Ok I just finnished through Resistance and loved it ! However, after beating the game, after going through the developer credits etc etc, we find a Commando team inserting next to him, basically forcing him to go along with them in the chopper ride.

It seems to me there will soon be a sequel to this fantastic game, as the war is only over in Great Britain but still wages on in the mainland.

What ya all think ?

Ouch, I am typing this on Gamespot for the first time using vista ultimate, disapointing....

Anyway, I am amazed by my new PS3. I don't know what people's problems are but the games so far, Older Scrolls, Motor Storm, Resistance, absolutely amazing on my HDTV.

Resistance is definitely a game that I believe is definitely better than a Halo 2. The graphics are amazing, my friends, I will SO NOT buy an XBOX360 when Halo3 comes out. Resistance is one of the best games I ever plaid !

Ok, it is clear to me now that the Armed Forces are targeting the youth now also via the gaming industry. In the gamespot main page itself I see events sponsored by the army, marines, air force etc etc...

There is only one thing I can say. Warning.

We PC Gamers believe it or not, learn a lot about weapons and sometimes even tactics (which is already a dumb thing because the enemies of "democracy" can learn too that way). Before I was a Mountain Commando with a NATO country and before going there, I learned plenty in PC Games in terms of reloading weapons, holding them, really, you learn a lot and you know what I mean. Childhood buddy of mine went to the Royal Marines Commando in the UK, we gamed together. Now he volunteered but I was drafted due to mandatory army drafts we have.

Anyway. I think however, it is weak by the DOD to target the gameing industry in such a way, because although I agree that at the end it is your decission to join or not, but most of us are intrigued and just amazed by military combat games. The action, the music, the pump, it is YOU, the Agent that saves the world, that kills hundreds of the bad etc and that is fun in the game.

Do not forget however, if you think the military is like that, you are wrong. There you got only one life. I am saying this because too many of my buddies in the US enlisted, where I lost touch with them and who knows what happened.

You only got one life there. Think about that.

Small Review on C&C3 :

The good: Graphics, New Units that interract (grenadiers into APCs etc), Storyline, HD Videos are ok, Action paced

The bad: Maps way too small, Commando totally sucked and fell below all expectations, no fun air units, massive tank spamm on boths sides (NOD relies on tactics my arse), etc etc,

The only time I am having fun with C&C3 is in skirmishes when I get bored sometimes, but it is all the same.

To be honest, do not buy C&C3 unless you are a hardcore fan of the series, I however, after C&C3 lost my apetite for any future C&C3 game, for me, a failure of a game....

First of all, I looooong for FAR CRY !!!!!! The best first person shooter comes again in a part 2, thanks God !!! My dear HL2 fans, prepare yourselves for another adventure game !!!! Finally it will come !! Thanks Ubisoft, love.

Since I am pro-dictatorship if it is positively controlled which one of the game endings show, I would go with the Illuminati on this case.
