Who gives a flying **** about new content when the game itself is like flogging a dead horse. This is the fourth game in a TRILOGY. Does anyone else see the irony here?
When will game developers/publishers get it?!? Tacked on shitty ass multiplayer is BAD FOR THEIR FUCKING "FRANCHISES"! No one plays GoW, Tomb Raider, DS3 or any other single player game for the MP part. This is basically PC gaming in the 90s - every game has mp, for better or (most of the time) for worse.
No matter how bad Sony's management is they won't make you pay to play online, but I'm guessing video streaming (Hulu, Netflix, maybe Youtube) will be paid subscription.
How good the PS4 will be though is all up to the game line-up. If Sony launches with a major first party game (Uncharted 4, or a new IP), Call of Duty and another big 3rd party game (Watch Dogs) and then spreads their releases out it'll be in the bag for them,
I like how on every COD news article there's a veritable shit storm but when Ubisoft launches Assassin's Creed 25 everyone is just fine with it. This just about proves the level of maturity among gamers.
When I first saw this story I really didn't want to click on it. I was pretty sure it was another rant by some dudes about violence in video games. To my utter stupor I found out today that the problem with Dead Island's marketing has nothing to do with violence. There's seemingly no problem with displaying, in graphic detail, a mutilated human torso in posters, trailers and game stores in plain view of anyone willing to look. The problem is not the perverted idea of creating memorabilia out of disembodied torso's. The problem is that the torso has boobs.
I am speechless... at least as far as Gamespot moderators would allow commentary.
