i though he just made a mistake and he meant either 8600, or 8400. Guess it just adds even MORE credibility to his statement.Heh, yeah, I think the TC pulled a fast one on us.

Even nVidia's listing of 8 series cards says nothing about an 8200.

i didnt belive it either i was sure ill be able to play at low setting with lags. but it works great on high with med shadows. :Dkingeliranyoure probably one of these people that dont notice any difference between 5 fps and 60fps, or youre just used to low fps on consoles.
After that scene where the ship is all icey and that dude get taken by that "war of the worlds" lookng alien, does anyones or everyones screen go clack and all you hear is audio before it cuts back to the menu?mistat4yes, its normal
but with shadows completely off, the game just looks too bright :|Its really strange that people are having so many problems. I have a 4200+ X2 (OCed to 2.6Ghz), X1900GT (OCed to 580MHz), and 1 GIG of RAM. I am playing in 1280x1024 and I'm getting no lower than 31 now measured with FRAPS. I have all settings on High except Shadows and Shaders which I have on Low. I have AA set at x2. Oh and I have Audio on Medium.
The game runs so well and really looks good. I'm using XP of course.

What is post processing in crysis??? I run the game one all very high except for that setting which i set to high and at 1680 x 1050 res with 2x AA. It runs good and looks GREAT, but what does post processing setting do. When i set that to very high i take a huge hit in frames per second.PDark_Prodigymotion blur, depth of field, color grading, sunshafts, etc...
by optimized i mean plays well onsimilar systems. for example xbox 360 gamessuch as bioshock are well optimized because theyit run smoothly on all xbox 360's. it is a harder challenge for pc games due to hardware issues, but surley they do research and figure outwhat type ofgraphics cards, and processors most pc gamers are using and optimize the games for those kinds of systems. my point is that crytek did not do a very good job at this. i should be able to get impressive graphics running a nextgen card, and dual core processor. 2006toohumanYeah but crysis is beyond impressive graphics, really. Its just the kind of game it will take some time for companies to release hardware that can max the game. Look at oblivion, it doesnt look THAT good at all, yet doesnt run as well as it should.
COD 4 single player demo maxed out looks better than Crysis demoon High, in game that is. Crysis cut scenes look amazing though.Crysis is just poorly optimized.my windows index is a 5 but demo is till choppy and unplayable on vista at medium. The whole point of releasing a games is so ppl can play it with the technology avaliable today, not in 2 years time, why don't they go ahead and delay this game till Geforce 9000 series comes out. Game is a hugedisappointment. 2006toohumanthats your opinion, but i think that most of us here think that crysis looks absolutely stunning on high. Btw, the cutscenes are made with the in-game engine. Dont believe me, turn shadows off just before a cutscene and you wont see the shadows, turn them on and youll see them.
? You haven't even seen the Unreal engine do much yet. The demo doesn't show much, but it shows enough. wait till the games actually come out.candid_llamawhat about geras of war ? Unreal 3/2.5 as far as i know.
quite possible, but what i dont get is that when i see a preview somewhere saying the demo runs great compared to the beta, and when i actually get my hands on the said demo, it runs just as bad as the beta, even if my system is as good as the one they used.If you remember back when FarCry came out there was no hardware out that could actually run the game on max. I think the top video card when it came out was the FX5950Ultra and it could not run the game maxed.
It was months later the the 6600s and 6800s came out that people could actually max it out. I guess Crysis is going to be the same story.
