he was in a train with citizens trying to get as far as possible from the citadel, they were probably going to a safer spot than white mountain.

they upgraded the engine indeed, im surprised you didnt notice the dynamic shadows! As for the other games, maybe they will release a patch to implement these new features, but i doubt it.

[QUOTE="Grantelicious"]Why would you want it on Steam? Forced patching is bad.Deihmos

Thats retarded. How is automatic patching bad?

1) You can stop any patch, and configure your games NOT to automatically patch so your point is already moot.

2) Automatic patching is awesome anyways. I just built a newcomputer and I decided to throw some older games on it. Took me like an hour just to find and download all the patches for all the games. Pretty lame. If all these games were STEAM games, I would simply install steam, tell it to reinstall my games, and walla! Every game gets installed and completely patched up. I could have went and had a sandwich while it was doing it's thing.

Steam would be much better if they had an option to close the application after launching the game especially if you don't need any of the other features. Another problem I encoutered is compatibility issues with future expansions and mods so the only game I would get from there is a valve game.

All mods work, infact all mods automatically get a shortcut in steam also. And who cares if it doesn't close? It barely takes up any memory and doesn't patch if you're playing a game.

Yep it only takes up about 40 - 50 MB but i would still like an option to close it out since I have no use for it. I also use EA link but it only use 1MB of Ram and i can close it if i want. My main worry is expansions which i recently had some major problems from Direct2Drive and another online retailer. Basically the only way i can get the expansions is if i buy the game again so not buying anything online unless it's a Valve or EA game. i am just not taking that chance again.

It's just safer to buy retail if you ask me.

40-50 MB? Mine only takes 8...

ok so i was wondering, if i set the priority of a process to "high, or higher than normal", does that mean it will alocate more cpu resource and memory to it? Lets say im playing a game, and i open task manager and change the priority of the game to "high", will the system "concentrate" more on running the game? Thanks in advance.

whats your point whoody?

technology moves along, and I don't really mind if something better comes out.. its ineviatble. What IS annoying, is the people that make such remarks. This is why I got an SLI board... just toss in another card and I am good to go.
