You should uninstall the driver and reinstall an older one, in other case maybe the problem will continue.wklzipi will, but first i need to know if i uninstall the driver and reinstall the same version, will my custem settings still be the same? And do i need to uninstall and reinstall nTune and riva tuner in order for them to work with the new installed driver?
greatmax1's forum posts
are nvidia drivers like ati drivers? like when you uninstall a driver and reinstall the same version, your 3d settings and such are kept intact, like you set them before uninstalling the driver. also, if i uninstall the driver and install another, do i need to delete riva tuner and re-install it after?

i can get either this antec 650W for $150(CAD) at my local shop :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371001
or
this ocz 700W for $195(CAD) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341002&Tpk=ocz%2b700W . I need a psu that can handle 2 8800gts 320mb in sli, and im not sure if i want to go with a 600W stealthxstream because it might not be enough. Im wondering if the price difference is worth it.
[QUOTE="greatmax1"]uninstall and reinstall the driver, and see if it still shows up as unlocked, thats what i would try first. And if it doesnt work, install an older driver, uninstall it and then reinstall the lateste version.SaiTokoKeimei
but would that change whether or not newegg would take it back?
im not really sure how they can figure out you overclocked it... and for the uninstall/install driver, that was to take care of the unlocked/locked setting, wich you wanted to be set to locked from what i understood. But really, i have no clue how they can determine if you OCed it or not....
