first off, MGS4 is the best looking game ever on a console! there is no way you can find a game that looks better. I'm no fanboy (lol ignore my avatar) and MGS4 was the first I played in the series (i caught up on the story through the Database you can download from PSN Store) and i LOVED it. The GFX were untouchable and the story sucked me in...plus there's so many ways you can play it (sneak, run n gun, etc.) and not mention it has a very solid online multiplayer experience
It deserved a 10.0 and now i went out and bought the "Essential Collection" of MGS so i can play through MGS1,2,and 3 :D
Just making sure here:
Is sony planning to phase out the B/C on the 80gb PS3 bundled with MGS4? i would doubt it since they're selling a lot.
Also, does the PS3 in the bundle have the 65nm RSX?
EDIT: i know about the 80gb ps3 coming this fall but will sony keep with 80gb w/ MGS4 so they can continue to offer B/C?
thanks
hey congrats on the new ps3
i think you're mistaken on the B/C being taken off the 80gb Ps3 MGS4 bundle, B/C will remain on that bundle cuz its bringing ps3 sales up a lot
i believe you're thinking of the Backward Compatible-less 80gb ps3 that will be introduced this fall, it will replace the 40gb ps3 which has no B/C
Updates are crucial to your system, you have to update it to sign into the PSN and the updates will not effect B/C in a negative way, they actually help it
trophies are like achievements but don't worry about that right now b/c only a limited number of games have them

I cant and dont really believe that... neither can i be bothered to ask you what your id is and go searching through the ranks looking for your id.
i agree
HDMI (best way, gets you 1080p)
Component (green, blue, red) (great connection, gets you 480p, 720p, 1080i, and i think sony's brand said it can do 1080p on some TVs)
Composite (yellow, red, white) (standard A/V connection, gets you 480i)
S-Video (a small step up from Composite, gets you 480i)
VGA/RGB/computer connection (kinda in between Component and HDMI, get you 1080p but the colors may be washed out and a lot of TVs only support VGA at 720p) good if you're using your ps3 on a computer monitor
Coaxial (one step down from Composite) (gets you 480i, its the standard 1-plug that people use for cable tv that you screw into the back of your tv, outdated kinda)
EDIT: There is also DVI which is one step down from HDMI but I would just stay away from it since its becoming outdated and its actually pretty confusing.
Did this help?
1.33 k/d (xbox360)
win/loss is terrible its like .83
I'm about purchase the 80gb ps3 bundled with mgs4 in the near future
and i have some ps2 games that i want to make sure run on it:
