Big Brother takes Simpsons Spot

Was it too much to hope for a new episode of The Simpsons this week? Of course! We've got Big Brother! Never mind that this new episode was a new one, given 4 stars by The Age (a rarity these days) and was guest starring The Office's Ricky Gervais, Big Brother's on. 2 replacements for housemates who got kicked out for sexual misconduct. Oh well. Hopefully we can see it next week, unless we get another Big Brother 'special' episode instead.

Taking out the trash

I cleaned up the "Bart vs Australia" page yesterday of all my fellow Aussies' contributions complaining that the show was 'unrealistic' and 'the prime minister is not Andy' and stuff like that. My reasons were that it was a joke, and jut like all Simpsons was a sterotypical look at an aspect of life. 9 Submissions, 9 Accepted (to modify or delete).

My New Signature

I saw some people with sigs like this mainly on the Gamespot boards, and i didn't know where they got them from, but one person on TV.com had a link to www.userbars.com and i found some for my favourite shows. What do you think?

i made the Alias, Scrubs and Kangaroos Member ones. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, Kangaroos are the Australian Football team i support. 4 wins, 9 losses for 2006! Go Roos! (Maybe in 2010)

The Simpsons Season 8 DVD...in Australia!

The Simpsons: The Complete Eighth Season will be released in Australia on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, just one month after the US release according to Fox's TVonDVD.com website, which will come as a relief to me and other Simpsons fans who didn't want to wait six months as we did for season 7.

Other confimed releases include:

SEPTEMBER 2006
  • Prison Break S1
  • King of the Hill S3
NOVEMBER 2006
  • Family Guy Season 5
DECEMBER 2006
  • 24 Season 5

84' 89' 92' - Not bad

Australia pulls off a miracle win after being 1-0 down to Japan after 84 minutes of play in the FIFA World Cup yesterday. Tim Cahill was the hero with two goals in the dying minutes before John Aloisi put the result beyond doubt.

Bring on Brazil!!!!!!!!!

24 is Back!!!

Well, Channel 7 have advertised that my favourite show, 24, is to return on Wednesday June 21st at what I assume to be 9:30PM after Prison Break and hopefully at 8:30 after Prison Break finishes. Jack's back...in 2 weeks.

Take Two

Well, 'Simpsons Christmas Stories' is scheduled for this Tuesday, (the 6th) at 7:30pm. Let's just hope they show it this time...

Why? Why? Why WHY?

Why do the Austrialian TV networks always screw around with their loyal viewers? I thought it was only Channel 9 and 10 but it seems Channel 7 wants to get into it as well.

I put up with the fact that Scrubs is shown at 11:30pm, barely, but now they won't even show th episodes in order!!! Last week was the season 5 opener and i thought, great they'll show them all, but I was wrong. We've jumped from episode 1 to episode 3 and who knows what'll be on next week. Is it that they think we don't notice? I mean the others try to slip in repeats with the new episodes (Channel 10 is most guilty).

So pull your act together, 7.

EDIT: Well, it seems channel 7 DID air episode 2, but on monday night. How was I to know that? And I probably never would have except Jimbo_001 told me. Thanks
