So no one trusts the current Games on Demand service?

I haven't researched it, is there more DLC packed in with the 20 dollar Platinum Edition? Or should I just plop down the 20 and DL it from XBL? Always good to get a second opinion before trusting M$, especially with such a new service.
I recently got a nice big HDTV and so I finally got an Xbox. Normally I game on a newer Macbook Pro w./Windows 7 and it runs most things like a dream. But I missed console gaming and a lot of my friends are on XBL. And I'm amazed how much I'm enjoying it. Bioshock on the 360 actually seemed superior to the PC version -- which is contrary to everything I've heard. And Gears of War is plain dumb fun. But it's always easy for me to get buyers remorse and sometimes I think I coulda spent the money on suping up a gaming PC to hook to the TV instead of the Xbox, especially now that I found out that GFW games can get achievements and avatars just like Xbox games. Any thoughts?
I guess my followup question is: is it really bad to have my full first and last name as a gamertag? My girlfriend says act proud about it, pretend you're famous but I worry there's security issues.
Total noob move here, but I got an Xbox, payed for a year of Xbox Live, and started setting up the account and name. Tried to pick a few names and they were already taken and the system suggested a few to me including my own name. I ACCIDENTALLY clicked my own name and instead of giving me a 2nd chance to describe it just sent me to the next menu with no way to change. Now I'm stuck with my actual full name as a gamertag and I don't want to pay 10 bucks for the mistake. I'm thinking I can delete the account but would that cost me the 50 I just paid? I wrote tech support and they just said pay the ten bucks for the change. This sucks.
Obviously the sequel will have all kinds of improvements, tweaks, and better graphics, but should I grab the first one first and play through it to get the story? Or has it not aged well and it's better to just play the latest?
It turns out my local Gamestop has Jaspers but only the Arcade version. So if I got this and the 60g hard drive -- and I have HDMI cables coming in the mail -- this is the same as a Pro right?
the other thing that confuses me is that the arcade has "memory" and the pro doesnt...making it superior?
It sounds like it's vey hard to get a jasper pro right now anyhow...
I thought Jaspers were commonplaec now, but now I"m hearing its only the Arcades that have it. Can an Arcade be expanded to a full Pro? Does it cost more than just buying a Pro?
