That's the one I was considering. How upgradeable are they?

INSANE, I know, but right now they're having a sale on a machine that seems right up my alley:

Until this Thursday, I can get 418$ off the Studio XPS 8100 build listed on their site.

Since I need a monitor as well (included!), this seems like a really good deal. My question to you guys is what kind of gaming performance can I expect out of the setup given, and what upgrades offered would be wise to take (video card, et cetera).

Thanks!

Could you suggest a pre-built for under 1400?

I beat DA once on 360 but lately I think I should trade it in for the PC version and try it that way. I have a late 08 Macbook Pro running W7 and most new games run just fine on it...not sure why I grabbed the 360 version, I guess because I was so impressed with Mass Effect on 360. From what I understand, the PC version of Dragon Age is almost a completely different game, which makes me think it'd be fun to try it again in its intended form...

So for pre-built we're factoring in roughly 2-400, right? So you're saying 12-1400 for a decent machine, never more than 2G.

I know there's really no such thing as futureproof, but I'm in the market to stop dual-booting on my Mac and actually get a PC to play games on (and maybe be productive on as well). I'm not worried about paying a few more hundred to have it custom-built (been eyeing up places like Falcon NW, for example) but I was wondering just what is "too much". Would I like to play Crysis? Yes, I would. Would I like to have a machine that lasts me for the next few years -- through things like, say, Crysis 2? Yep. So: what's the average I should be looking to spend?

I can't seem to add points from the website or through teh xbox -- for 2 days now. Is it something with my account or is the store broken?
