@maneljoao: You lost me at lamest villain ever. He's a brilliant villain, in my view. Finally a complex and multifaceted character in a tale full of archetypes. We don't know the fill scope of him yet.

@utimagus: I think it's just a matter of how much time people have. And the people who clamor for being able to put their discs in and play old games is NOT as large as they sound. The Internet magnifies.

In the PS2 era, and PS3 altogether (I have an original fatty PS3 that had BC), I was always able to put in the last generations discs and play. I still can.

And I **practically NEVER do**. Quite honestly, who's got time for that? I'm working on four... FOUR... current gen games right now (Destiny, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, and Bloodborne) with no end in sight. When am I going to have time and go back and play old games?

I work a full work week, I have a house to keep up, I have two kids and a wife. I like to go outside from time to time, even run some errands.

As much as I would like to, even though I have three generations of systems that are capable of playing old games that I already own, I simply don't have the time to put in games from decades ago.

I know there are some people (children? teens? single people? the unemployed?) who might be able to take advantage of such a feature, but most people I know, even Xbox players, never use BC even when they can.

Yes it's kinda stinky that PS4 can't let you play old games, but it's far less of a problem then people make it out to be.

Hell, I recently got an Xbox One with Rare Replay and I have yet to even TRY anything on it because I haven't had the time and probably never will other than to play Battletoads again because I swore I would beat it before I die.

I MIGHT get to that... Might...

@fisherking: Fair enough, and I do see your point of view. But I think Sony is going for something a little more deluxe, which has been one of the things that has simultaneously always impressed me about them and also annoyed me about them. Sometimes you want bare bones functionality, but they want to give you something more (at a price).

They want to offer something more than simply "making it work," and for a game like Rogue Galaxy, this is a great thing because it's such a rich game and one that benefits from the improved graphics and also one that you will take a lot of time to complete. The trophies are a nice touch for this game, too. I played this in the past, but I didn't finish it, and probably would have never gone back to it if it didn't have these added little perks.

I know not everybody sees the value here, but it does bring these older titles at least up to contemporary expectation standards. I wish there was the ability to play discs, but at least they are taking public suggestions on which titles to bring into the fold next.

I wouldn't mind Mida, Plan C, and Ice Breaker making a return. Why'd they have bothered increasing the ammo refill time on IB if it wasn't meant to make a return someday?

Keep Thorn and Gjallarhorn in the past, though, Bungie. We need to leave those behind.

@gameroutlawzz: Long dead game? Nothing good going on since Dark Below?

Not judging you, but really, the game is far from dead and the game is better than ever.

These microtransactions are fluff. I don't, haven't, and never will buy anything and I"m getting along just fine with things.

And guess what, people are Thrillering and M.C. Hammering all over the place in my fireteams and I'm not even mad.

"Rudeness is the weak person's imitation of strength."

I really don't know why I keep scrolling down to these comment sections. I guess I maintain optimism that people will actually act civil toward one another. Ah, well, there's only 67 comments here as of this writing.

I'm sure millions and millions of people are going along just fine and the few dozen 'smartest people in the world' will remain here talking about how wrong everyone else is.

Proceed with being ugly to the world if you must...

@datriax: Then you'd have to ask for permission as well because you, too, are stupid in someone else's eyes.

@stewbuilderpete: Exactly, I'm so sick of people saying "sheep", "sheeple", "ponies" "xbots" all those sill stupid names.

Just get over yourselves and contribute something constructive or get out.

Evolve was fun, and for the few weeks I played it, I found it rather engaging. But when all was said and done, I kept yearning to return to other games.

It was good but it felt like half a product. Maybe this will remedy that but it doesn't seem like enough to bring me back.

I'd say it might be great for those coming in for the first time!
