Crysis 3 may be like Crysis 2 but, there is also nothing like Crysis out there. So, you're gonna play Crysis, or you're gonna play SOMETHING ELSE. No FPS does the things Crysis does with the nanosuit and futuristic technology, you're not gonna get this type of gameplay anywhere else. That alone is why it deserves a higher score.
@squall_83 It's probably more efficient in lots of ways. It's all based on the code, the more you compartmentalize, organize and reduce the size of your code, the better it will perform under stress.
It's the reason I can run Max Payne 3 at 60 fps maxed out, while it's nearly impossible to keep Crysis 2 above 20 on the same system. Efficiency.
@sinistergoggles That's the only question I'm concerned about. Multiplayer DMW with customizable loadouts and enemies, hello? Do they not like money or something?
It's just so true. PC is providing things consoles simply cannot do. Right now I'm playing Crysis 2, modded with Blackfire Mod 2, Quality Mod and MaldoHD Textures, all at 60+ fps. It looks like a next-gen game and makes me never wanna turn on my 360 again. Games like Darksiders 2, Sleeping Dogs and The Amazing Spiderman all run sharper and faster than anything a console can muster. The only thing keeping me playing them are the exclusive console releases.
Criterion has disappointed me, severely. Because of all these licensed cars in the game, they can't iterate on their phenomenal damage modeling from Burnout Paradise. That was one of the best car deformation engines ever made. Now, all that study and research is down the drain. On a side note, why am I the only one who's mentioned this? Seriously, us gamers need to become better thinkers.
Exact same first level, same weapons, character models, art assets?!?! If they aren't the same, then why did they try so hard to make it look EXACTLY like the first game? The game industry is getting ridiculous.
The gameplay is the same as every other DOA game, the graphics are somehow worse, the character modeling has taken a step back, and I haven't seen a single new move yet. No, I'm not buying this. And I've bought every single DOA game in existence. But, it's gotta stop somewhere.
