[QUOTE="h8jlhbtw"][QUOTE="qwerty2305"][QUOTE="rimnet00"]qwerty, would you mind pointing me towards where I could find these manuscripts. I would be interested in studying them.qwerty2305
I cant be bothered finding a link right now. But I have seen shows on the Discovery channel about this subject. There are museums in Europe which have ancient manuscripts and records about Jesus, and him rising from the dead.
If you really want some Manuscripts to study, read the bible. Do you know how the bible was made? Tons of ancient manuscripts that were written thousands of years ago all got put together which makes The Bible!
The bibleActually I just said that for sake of argument. Jesus is just a character invented by some clever writer(s).[QUOTE="yoshi-lnex"][QUOTE="Trashface"] So you're saying not all of it is a fairy tale? So certain figures in the bible existed? Are you saying the miracles are fabricated? Are you saying that the spiritual and supernatural aspects are fabricated? Didn't you once say that there is no recorded proof that Christ existed? And now you're saying "Just because he existed..does not automatically mean he was God." So you only believe some of the bible?qwerty2305
Jesus is a character written about by thousands of inoccent people who had a family. People who just wanted to live there life, get as much money and food as they can. They did not have time to make up story's about Jesus. There was such limited supplies back then, they were all fighting for a good house to live in, clean food and water. There was no time to make up huge story's that would take Years to make up for them. Thats why I truly think its real.
If people were living in such poverty, just trying to survive, wouldn't they want some stories to believe in? Wouldn't it be in their interest to come up with a religion like Christianity--having a personal relationship with a God can be soothing.Im not talking about believing in something because they are poor. Im talking about how they all took the time to write these Manuscripts when they had better things to do like find food. These people did not have time to sit down and write for days unless they thought it was something really important, like Jesus.
Even the cavemen had time to make art--drawing paintings on the walls. And ritualistically bury their dead. Why wouldn't people living in the time of Jesus be able to come up with stories/oral traditions?
