[QUOTE="Zagrius"]I'm tired of this, I just don't care enough to battle someone who went through all the research, chose to only remember reading about the ones with pro-drug results, and then brought his vast intellect to bear onto the discussion. You are obviously set in your views, and while I can't respect that or even understand it, it's your choice. Have fun evading the authorities.Schwah
Umm, I'm a rehab counselor, I don't do drugs, and I'm anti-drug to a very high degree. Read my posts. I'm not arguing for drugs. I'm arguing against our current drug policies. For the most part drugs suck. I work with people on a weekly basis who can't see their children because of their addictions. That's fricken terrible!
Buy why compound the problem. That's what I think our current policies are doing. I don't want any drugs legalized, not even weed (though I do think we'd be better off if weed were decriminalized, big dif). Addiction is fricken hard to break for a lot of people. But rather than put more funding into rehab we put more funding into jails and law enforcement. That's what I'm arguing against.
I'm sorry you can't respect my views, even though you clearly misunderstood them.
I agree with you. I have seen the effects of drugs. They not only wreck the person using them, but everyone around that person, too. I think they should be illegal.
However, I am against throwing people with addictions in jail, unless they steal or rob someone of course. Criminalizing addiction doesn't really solve anything. I think addicts should be given help.
