[QUOTE="Pirate700"]You're paying money to get in there and do physical labor to generate their power. You don't see a problem with that? If you're OK with that, I'll let you pay me $50 a month to mow my lawn and clean my gutters.

if you don't like it speak with youre wallet and dont join the gym or compalin. Personally, i could care less.I would rather make some electricity. Than have allit disspipated asuseless heat. anditsgood----a tiny tiny bit-----for the environments
I have spoken with my wallet. I use my home gym. ;) And I'm not complaining. Just asking a question and discussing a matter. That's kind of the point of discussion boards.sorry that came out wrong. I meant complain to the gym. i wasn't implying you were compalinging.

[QUOTE="Pirate700"]How much does it lower the membership cost?
Pirate700
Why would it, that's like a gym switching to all fluorescent lights and expecting membership costs to go down.

no its not "really bad" 85% of the workforce HAS jobs.. we have now had 6 straight months of private sector job creation, 600,000 net new jobs created this year so far in the private sector alone. Exports are up 20%, corporate balance sheets are strongest they have been in 40 years. 4 straight quarters of positive GDP growth, how is any of this "really bad?" Last year it was "really bad" this year, its much better and improving even moreColonelDrakePS3
It's bad to those that do not have jobs. and the people that don't have jobs usually scream the loudest. also there is a big perception isssue. technically were recovering, butunemployment is still high. not as bad as spain hahaha, but bad.
1. at the current rate, it will take about 5 years to get back the jobs that were lost during the recesion. we will be fully recovered when the next crisis, small or large crisiss hits
I hope the membership is damn near free then.[QUOTE="h8jlhbtw"]
there is a gym in new york that does this.
Pirate700

the Americans living in poverty graph aboveactually showed that the percentage of people in the United States living in poverty decreased.
since the United States is always increasing in population, the 37 million figure being stable between those two yearsmeans that as a % of total pop, poverty would have decreased.
when you say crumbling, do you mean specific examples. if this is the case the pictures above are accurate. if you mean a general crumbling as in the entire nation, it does not make sense. most people say that india is rising and will be one of the major players. however there infrastructure is horrible compared to the united states. and the amount of people living in the indiunslums are many many
the united states should view other countries as sovereign. we need to respect that. the only reason their should be intervention is if their is genocide or some other terrible attrocity going on. The world has a responsibiility to protect but then their needs to be a multi-nation/world response.

The point is, every empire said that they will never fall.
Yeah, I don't know, with nuclear weapons and what not, the situation is quite different now than it was in the past. A majority of the world will have to wage nuclear war against the USA for it to fall, but that would also mean suicide for many nations. It's just unrealistic for a country like the USA to fall apart anytime soon, it's going to take an advanced and hostile extra terrestrial civilization to take over or a nuclear holocaust.united staets will probably remain strong. but its not going to be THE superpower. it will be one of the powers amoung a group of 5-6 players
Noone thinks that the United Sttes will crumble by losing a war. if the united states was going to lose, it would be due to a massive amount of assymetric attacks, terrorism, that cuases the united states to overextend it forces.
If we don't make good decisions in the near future, the country could crumble from the inside. things like social security and medicare. most likely this will bethe first generation that has less than what it's parents had.
othercountries need usnow. but in 20 years? who is to say thatthe other emerging big countries like brazil, china, india, and russia will need us?
