Hey everyone, haga here. So, to those 4 of you who actually give a carp, the reason I haven't posted my list of games I got yet is because I just haven't gotten around to commenting on all of them. That, and I'm addicted to Okami. So Sue me. :P
But yeah, I've been playing so much Okami it's freaking ridiculous. At first, I didn't play into it much since I was trying to get my thoughts together for all my games, but now I'm hooked. I probably spent about 3-4 hours playing that game today. No Joke. BUY IT.
So yeah, that's about it. Laziness and addicted to Okami. :P

Birthday!
by haga11111 on Comments
Hey everyone, haga here. Yep, today was my birthday. I would've posted this blog sooner, but I forgot. Oh well. :P
Anyway, I got new headphones, a few books, a Wii Cla$$ic Controller Plus, NSMBW and Mario Kart Wii. Since I also got birthday money and I intend to buy more games this weekend, I'll give my thoughts on my new games then.
So yeah, that's about it.
Okami: Wii or PS2?
by haga11111 on Comments
Hey everyone, haga here. So, I've decided that I want to get Okami at some point, and I'd like to know if I should get the PS2 or Wii version. The main thing I'm worried about is the brush mechanic, specifically for the Wii. From what I've seen, it works fine o n PS2, but I'd like to know if it works okay on the Wii. Is the brush accurate and easy to control, or is it a pain to draw with the Wiimote? Thanks for any answers I may get.
New Profile Theme: Dreams
by haga11111 on Comments
Hey everyone, Haga here. So, I decided that I was tired of having cactuar as my avatar and no banner, so I decided to get a new them: Dreams, or in this case, videogame heroes concerning dreams. :P
The banner is Klonoa, the dream traveler. The avatar is Kirby, who isn't always directly related to dreams, but he does have a handful of dream-themed games, game titles, and enemies, so he counts. The final, my new sig, is NiGHTS from the dreamworld.
So yeah, that's all. I haven't done this sort of thing in awhile, so they aren't great.
Here's the sig:
Edit: Just realized that my last blog was number 150. Wooho. :P
A quick demo recommendation
by haga11111 on Comments
Hey guys, haga here. So, I just spent about 10-15 minutes (I think, I don't know exactly how long) playing this little demo of a DS game called Picross 3D. It's a puzzle game where you are presented with a block made up of small cubes, and some of the cubes have numbers on the side, telling you how many cubes are in that row. It makes great use of the touch screen, the controls are very easy (although I did accidentally destroy two blocks that I meant to mark, but it only counts as a strike and doesn't matter in the demo.) Yeah, the tutorial does a much better job of explaining the game than I do.
It's a lot of fun, it's very engaging, and all you need to play the demo is a Wii, the Nintendo channel on said Wii, and a Nintendo DS. I'm definitely going to get the full version soon.

Back (sort of)
by haga11111 on Comments
Hey guys, what's up? So, I know I've been gone for awhile, and I always only come back for a few weeks maximum, so you'll probably end up ignoring this blog post, but whatever.
So yeah, I don't know how long I'll be back, but while I am, I'll just let you guys know that, for the most part, I'll only be sticking around for my friends and for writing reviews. I've been playing quite a few games lately, and I'd like to express my opinions on them, especially the ones where I disagree with some of this website's reviews.
Also, once I get a dazzle recorder, I may start some Let's Plays. For those of you who don't know, a Let's Play is where you record yourself talking and playing a videogame. They're quite common on YouTube. They're like video walkthroughs with commentary, but they're usually less formal, you can talk about things other than the game, etc. While I could upload them to only YouTube, I might also post them here. I would have to work some things out, like the difference between usernames (I'm Squawkers23 on YouTube but haga11111 here) and the fact that YouTube has an 11 minute time limit, but maybe I could do live commentary on one website and post commentary on another, or different post commentary depending on which website I'm uploading to, etc. I'll work it out eventually.
So yeah, I'm looking forward to that. Here's hoping I stick around this time!

Segment 25: Career
So, I've been in a analytical mood lately, and I've been thinking about what I want to do with my life. I'm still an adolescent, so it's okay for me to not have much direction in life, but I wish I could be a person with dreams about their future.
Anyway, right now a few things that have me interested are psychology, neurology, astrophysics, and the performing arts (i.e. singing, dancing, theatre, etc.) I'd say the thing I disklike the most about myself is that my interests change way too often. When I was younger, I wanted to work for LEGO. Then, I wanted to be a videogame designer for quite awhile. Then I got into Astrophysics, then back into game design, and then I wanted to be a Police Officer in Japan. Don't ask why, I'm not sure myself.
I've been listening to some Psychology podcasts recently, and I must say they're very interesting, though I'm still not sure if psychology is right for me. I used to have a very interesting book by Neil Degrasse Tyson, a fairly famous Astrophysicist, but I guess it must've been from the Library, since I can't seem to find it anywhere. I've read one or two books by Oliver Sacks, a Neuroscientist, but again, I can't seem to find them.
I guess what I was trying to say with that last paragraph is that I have at least a little bit of knowledge (or experience, as the case is with the Performing Arts) in each aspect of my current interest, so my decisions (when I make them) won't be biased by ignorance.
Segment 15: Books
So, I've recently developed an interest in mystery novels. I'm currently reading The Hound of the Baskervilles. After this, I intend to finish Hallowe'en Party, and then I'll move on to one of three books: Murder on the Orient Express, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, or the Maltese Falcon. Any suggestions as to which I should begin next, or any other authors or titles I may want to check out? I'm usually very open-minded as far as books go.
Segment 21: Video Games
I think I'm becoming more and more casual of a gamer. I used to spend hours on a Saturday playing SSBM, yet I haven't even turned on a gaming console in 2 or 3 weeks. Now I usually just play physics-based games online. I guess my presence on this site is a bit ambivalent if I don't even play videogames anymore.
Segment 1: The End
I think this blog is a bit ridiculous, but that's what I think about most of my blog posts/youtube comments/etc. anyway.
I'm so glad I don't have to get up early tomorrow morning.

Somehting I noticed about Square's RPGs...
by haga11111 on Comments
I can't complete them. It's not so much that the games are too hard to complete, as it is that at a certain point in the game, my mind actually stops me from even trying anymore. I enjoy them greatly up to a certain point, then... nothing. For instance: FFVI (on the GBA). The first time, I played until I was about to go to Kefka's tower, but then I realized I had missed some things (as far as treasure goes, I'm a completionist) so I restarted. Second time, Death Gaze was taking too long for me, so I just kinda stopped.
I can complete Pokemon games fine, but not FF games for some reasons. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? I kinda have six FF games, and I'd like to complete them.
I'm not dead yet, sir.

Hey. I know it's been awhile since my last log-in, but I can explain. Basically, my life has become less computer oriented, and is now more video-game, books, cooking, and anime oriented. So yeah, sorry I've been gone since around October.I'll try to log-on more often.
Anyway, got a PS2 for Christmas, and now that I finally have the memory cards, I can play Spyro 2 and 3, and Klonoa 2. That makes me happy.
Anyway, how's everyone doing?
P.S. Here's a picture of one of my cats, Rufus (I bought a digital camera on Black Friday)

Yes, I know it's been a bit since my last login. I've just been doing other stuff lately- plus, I caught a flu, and now i have a sinus infection.
I might get more active again soon. Who knows?
