if you do send it in,put a goofy message on a post it on the ps3,say like'help i went in here look in fer cookys n now...well now....halp me halp me outta here! 0_0!'lol
maybe try :turn it off then hold the power button til it beeps twice(to reset settings)to turn it back on or restore ps3 option in xmb?(try the other first)
try your other games/movies,it sounds like the laser is giving out.First it do that,then it wont read anything after a awhile.if so send it in if your warranty is still good(although if it isnt you can still fix it yourself)
I want to know the full story about how one of the posters above ended up biting his MGS4 disc. Details! You can't just leave us wondering! Shoot, you could write a bestselling novel about that... it's a brilliant, original idea (eating MGS4). Yes! Title the book, "Eating MGS4". Or, better yet, write it as a screenplay so we can watch it as a Blu-Ray movie in about five years.
To the TC, you should definitely research the game. I thought the Metal Gear series wasn't anything special until after I'd purchased my PS3, which was before MGS4's release. Since it was being hyped as one of PS3's big exclusives, I watched the trailers and decided I had to own the game ...

Your ip address is visible to anyone and wont give anyone the opportunity to take control of your comp as long as you have a firewall and virus scanner.he would require an executable program on your computer that could take control from there and your virus scanner would pick that up and also windows would warn you a program was trying to run.so basically he was full of crap lol!
i would pick it up,I got it(course i flipped out and literally ate it lol!,but im getting a new copy soon haha),and i thought it wouldnt be THAT good as its been rated,and it was pretty close(though-and im being wussy but serious-put it on normal or lower or eet the disc...its that simple really...so yeah normal or BELOW(note that capital below)lol at least til You get used to some lite cheepness)so yeah pick it up(even used as blu-ray discs are tough(i should know i broke my tooff on it ha,still played/installed til i snapped it... sumpin rong with mee....)lol!)
