@xADx: I think maybe you don't understand what "for better or worse" means. It certainly doesn't imply anything "high and mighty." In fact, it doesn't even imply anything "good" or "great," or even worth my time or money. What my words mean is that they took stock of the source material rather than simply providing superficial rote, to varying results. It's not news to anyone that video games are made for profit.
@halfofme07: I agree. The prequels have their value, despite the odd creative choices here and there, and kicked the world-building up to 11. Although, I'm one of those losers who would rather have my Expanded Universe books over the prequels or the sequels.
@UltimateBastard: He gave all the money from the sale to charity. We all gave him a big F-you over the prequels, and he bowed out with dignity and honor. Now we're just laying down in the bed we've made.
