books, movies, games etc. can all have a positive or negative impact on a person. The majority of people exposed to violence in these forms of media use common sense and reasoning and understand the difference between right and wrong; and reality/fantasy. Meaning most people are not gonna go on a shooting spree after playing a violent game or watching a violent movie. Those that do inflict violence on others are individuals that had something else more disturbing motivating their behavoir, or at least a combination of things; violent media itself is (most of the time)......not a sole motivation or catalyst.

A few bad people/events shouldnt ruin something for the rest of us. We already have a rating sys in place that prevents minors from accessing violent games at certain ages when they are most likely to imitate what they see before they mature to the pt of understanding real violence versus fantasy violence.
