Gorgeous game, no doubt about that. Gameplay wise, didn't see anything that hasn't been done a million times before in 3rd person shooters, but of course, it's far too early to judge an entire game. I'll keep an eye on it for now, and wait to be truly impressed.

Excellent little article. I love what UbiSoft, Naughty Dog, and Quantic Dream, are doing with this, using spicy gameplay that is familiar and proven to be successful under their direction, and wrapping it up in delicious new IPs.

Makes for a good tasting burrito.

I understand completely the issues they bring up here, and share their concerns. I have no problems with Tomb Raider ending up like Uncharted, being cinematic and action packed, so long as it's well done. I just think it would work better if they took some pages from that OTHER Naughty Dog game...The Last of Us. I think it's that kind of gritty realism and intense atmosphere that Tomb Raider needs, not an explosion fest where Lara can sometimes take shotgun blasts to the face, and at other times get all wounded by a tree branch.

And don't say Tomb Raider came before Uncharted, so it can't copy it. I realize Tomb Raider came much earlier, but the demo I saw today was Uncharted with a female protagonist.

Either way, I know I'm going to enjoy Tomb Raider, I just wish they'd really stick to their guns with a more slow-paced, gritty survival game.

This is the only franchise that Capcom can make me want to buy anymore. Going to be tough for me not to pick this one up.

@Talavaj I wouldn't doubt Valve's ability to sustain a game with cosmetics only. I don't know if you heard, but TF2 made a lot more money once it went free to play than it ever did as a purchased game. All because of hats.

Looking forward to the gameplay demo that is undoubtedly coming in the next few days. My most anticipated game right now, and that means a lot, because I REALLY love Borderlands 2 and AC3 as well.

Interesting article. Personally, E3 has a huge impact on what games I buy in the fall, and this is always the time of year that my list of tracked games here on GameSpot gets a lot bigger. I don't pay attention to BlizzCon, but I do pay attention to E3. Missing E3 is a missed opportunity to show off your game, but if these big guns can afford to ignore me, then that's their decision.

So...stoked. Voice acting could be a little better, and some of the animations look a little stiff, but still. So. Stoked.

Personally, I agree with BioWare's decision to expand the ME3 ending. They aren't changing the ending, merely adding on to it, to give fans more of the closure they're looking for. I didn't mind the ending myself, I found the three-way choice quite interesting. I just think it tried to end too quickly, and as such it cut off a lot of the information I was looking for. What is any patch if not a response to consumer feedback? Why should the story be any different from the gameplay when it comes to game updates? The Mass Effect 3 ending is dissatisfying to many gamers, thus they are improving it.

The ending as it stood was like them offering us a piece of candy, and then kicking us in the balls before we could take it. They are remedying that mistake.

I think BioWare made quite a few bad decisions when it came to ME3, but improving their ending is not one of them.
