Another board of people arguing back and forth...Anyway, I did like your post although IMO it is bias toward the PS3. My guess would be you own a PS3 and therefore you are bias toward it. I own a 360 and thus am bias about it, not afraid to admit.
The PS3 although with superior hardware lacks a good library and online play.
The 360 did have a rather rocky start due to its hardware issues but they have been fixed. The 65nm chips were installed as of july in '06 cooling the system down and reducing the chance of that evil red ring. The library IMO is better than the other two consoles and the online play has a better feel.
The wii gets a tip of my hat for being innovative and giving the gaming community something new in terms of the way you play a game. As for the online functions I honestly know very little and the library is OK but certainly not great.
If you think they blow then don't buy them and educate yourself on what is to come. I could say that the Government is taking over the video game industry and dumbing us down via another medium. But thats just saying its a big conspiracy. IMO I think the games are good but losing the depth of content.
Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 don't get too deep. Neither of them had an addictive grasp on me as did some others. There are also spiffy little mini games like the fishing that you can do for just a few minutes and then set it down.
I don't think this is fact just what I've heard. The movies that were originally created in a lower resolution will look a little better when you play them in HD. So it is going to look a bit like 1080 I think. But if anyone actually knows please do correct me.
Think I'm actually going to buy the GOTY edition as the morrowind GOTY kept me busy for 250+ hours, and still occationally does. But it is nice to see such a drop in price:D
