Character customization, amazing music, long hours of game play, good story(usually), cinematic scenes, And the fact that I'm personally a completionist adds to it as well.
If you want to get into some of them you just need to try different series some of the time because there can be little differences that make a game all the better. FFX is still a really good RPG for many reasons but I've gone back just for the music some of the time.
It seems every time I come onto a RPG thread I learn something or need to buy another RPG. Makes me so happy that good games are always out there if you want to look or simply ask!
To answer the question though anything I would recommend is put up:)

Just take out a few screws on the bottom and be very careful with that ribbon on the side. I would still suggest looking at some pics or a video of how to do it though. After the cover is off just throw some air at it with a large fan as previously mentioned. If it is going to become a permanent solution however make sure you clean it out regularly as dust will accumulate.
Knights of the nine is alright. If you like to be evil and do stuff you probably won't like it quite as much because you will not be able to equip the unique equipment if you perform evil acts later on after you beat the quest. I would recommend getting it though because I thought the quests were pretty fun but its up to you.
Like thrones said here you should play D2 to understand some of it:P My thinking is that they might do something where it ends up as more of a button masher like dynasty warriors perhaps. On a console that is going to make the most sense in my head but I could be wrong.
