they said they never got an early release copy of the game. i imagine they had to wait for it to come out and buy the game, and then play it. probably gonna be awhile before they have a review up. if people are desperate for a review go to IGN. they gave it a 9, if that isn't enough to make you wanna buy it i don't know what is.thanos723

The game clocks in around 30 hours, and reviewers often don't even finish the entire game before writing up a review. So let's say GS has to buy a retail version when it came out, and had to play it to completion before writing a review. Does it have to wait for 12 days to do it? If it's a shooter game, say gears of war, my god, wouldn't you think they would've played it more than 3 times plus multiplayer? So explain to me why show such obvious bias between the genre of the games? If you are in a competitive business such as running a game review website, wouldn't you want to represent all games as much as possible?

The complaint here is why Gamespot wouldn't review a major exclusive title in time, not if this title got a good score outside of gamespot or not. Please don't try bring up IGN and act as if people don't know that at all.

First people say GS doesn't like the PS3 they always score them lower they love the 360 etc...... then they score MGS4 a 10 things calm down a bit and after awhile they start repeating the same thing over and over, and now this.

There are other games beside this one which are on the other consoles that haven't been reviewed yet.

Are you blind or something? Except MGS4, GS underscore almost every major game that came out of ps3 when comparing to the meta matrix, while GS over score almost every major 360 games. this is a fact, not something people made up. And if you don't see it, it's with you.

Show me what OTHER Major GAMES besides Valkyre Chronicles out there right now that's been past due for a freaking 12 days! Show me, facts are worth way more than empty words.

There are so many great original games right now that makes me not want to put my money on a WWII skin for my COD4.

The graphics are slitghly better, but its same COD4 with less cooler weapons. I think it got that high score just for being a COD game

And even that score, for a COD game, isn't that high. It's seriously just an expansion pack. Why not just play more COD4 again, instead buying a full priced expansion pack is beyond me.

Ok let me give you an example - though this will be extreme - it may help you understand what I am trying to say.

It would be like having the image of Jesus holding a pitchfork with horns coming out of his head and a tail. Or Jesus swearing. Or Jesus being married and having children in a game. Or having Jesus cast magic spells in a game. While the majority of non-Christian gamers wouldn't find this offensive at all (and probably quite humerous) - it would be very offensive to the Christian community. In fact I would be surprised if a game containing that type of content would ever even be able to be released. It would be offensive to a large group of the software developers end users and therefore even if it was released it would be boycotted and not sell as well as if they just removed that content.

That is the same as what has happened here. While maybe you don't percieve the Muslim community to be very large - especially here in the U.S. - you would be VERY mistaken in that perception. The fact is there are ALLOT of gamers who are Muslim (and all different beliefs too) - so out of respect for a large segment of their core audiance the developer chose to remove something that would have been considered very offensive to allot of gamers. Maybe not offensive to you because you're not Muslim. Just like the Jesus stuff wouldn't offend non-Christians.

But to them it is critical and a fundamental issue. So it is important to show respect and make the majority of people happy.

In fact here is something that has occurred to me - I know allot of people when this issue first came up were all up in arms and saying how stupid it was that the game got delayed.

So...

As a non-Muslim - what would you have gained by the song being left in there? Aside from getting the game a whole couple days or week earlier or whatever (which if those couple of days are that critical to you - well you may want to re-evaluate what's truly important in this life). So other than the couple days delay - what would you or anyone who is non-Muslim stand to gain by the song having been left in there?

I want to say - I am not spefically Muslim and don't associate with any specific religeon - I am all religeons and I am none of them. I only say this - because you may automatically assume I am due to my defense of their beliefs. Here is what I encourage you to do - you don't need to change your beliefs regardless of what religeon you are, but if you are curious about what someone else believes or thinks - study it for yourself before passing judgment founded on what someone else has taught you.

Those things are not neccessarily for you specifically - just general thoughts on this matter.

Keep an open mind in this life my friend - and realize with humility that we all can always learn.

Well though and said. Too bad those who stick to a single religion wouldn't see it your way though. Let's change the matter to nationality, then perhaps it's easier to understand. If the game has a lyrics saying, Fxxk America. I bet lots of gamers will be unhappy and the game would be recalled. Why do you think that is?

The problem is, it's a year after COD4. If the new COD is only as good as COD4, then it's not really as good a year after. WHere's the innovation? Where's the next big wow?

If every freaking game is only as good as the best game ever made 10 years ago, we won't even see all the good games today. Game needs to evovle as people's expectation gets higher and higher.
