Hermits are still mad that Killzone 3 gets more Graphical publicity than their $2,000 PC

Mr_BillGates

KZ3's sales says otherwise.

And KZ3 still gets more Graphical Publicity than your Maxed out 1080p 60fps PC game

There is NO Cover system in the MP = No Slide to Cover in MP

Pug-Nasty

No, but the slide mechanic was in the beta. I hadn't even realized they removed it until very recently, though. They probably found it to be unnecessary.

SLide was in the private/ public Beta? I dont think so

I own and have played Killzone 3, but it has a ton of visual effects that "mask" its graphics. A lot of it has blur. It probably gets more graphical publicity because it's a console game and it does well with the hardware limitations it makes use of. I'll give it credit for that.

Killzone 3 has no BLUR, proving you dont own and never played Killzone 3

All motion blur and post processing have been toned down significantly for a more natura look, unlike Crysis 2 which is the blur/ post prcossing king now. Even Digitalfoundry stated that all motion blur has been toned down significantly....

I have not played Killzone 3 and I have no plans on playing Killzone 3 after the turd that was Killzone 2.

SAGE_OF_FIRE
That's a shame, as KZ3 is a major improvement IMO.

Not from what I've heard.

Exactly........you only Heard and you already say the Killzone series sucks, as if you've played the whole series. FAIL

GoW3 was hardly rushed. The team just spen way too much time on Poseidon (though the cut Zeus fight looked amazing). Aside from that though... rushed? I don't think so.

babyeatermax

GoW3 was rushed. it is polished, but they cut out alot. i know alot of things are cut off during game development, but clearly Santa Monica was rushed. they should've released GoW3 in the summer or fall of 2010 because we didn't get anything between GoW3 and GT5 last year.

they showed of what the final fight was supposed to be, a full 3-way battle between Kratos, Zeus and Gaia.

instead we got a Kratos vs. Zeus while Gaia is holding the platform they were on.

and then they also cut out this puzzle level in the water. (you had to go in and out of water i think). i hoped it was in because frankly speaking, GoW3's puzzle are the easiest (and dare i say stupid) puzzles out of the trilogy. best puzzles were GoW1. with GoW3 we didn't even get those floor traps or spikes that'd come out of the walls or something a la Prince of Persia Sands of Time. all puzzles in GoW3 were too freakin easy.

No. The final boss battle and the water puzzle were edited out due to budget constraints, not because they were trying to keep schedule.

Wrong, they just ran out of time. They originally had 3 major Titan boss fights, but only had enough time to make 2 of them. So Poseiden & Kronos it was, just left out the final fight. It's not a budget thingy....RUSHED

Hooray for normal maps!

No, really though, KZ3 does have some great character models. Not the best models in the industry... not even close, but still great.

You really shouldnt have brought Crysis into this. :(

Oh and you may enjoy this TC.

This may seem random, but as someone who studies animatiom at university and uses 3D cgi software, I wanted to say how I though that the overall presentation of the game is superb. Lighting, animation, texture quality etc. all amazing. Where Halo Reach (as good as that game is) failed to capture that sense of scale, Killzone 3 wins hand-down. Some of the cutscenes and gameplay segments from the single-player (where the ISA ship crashes and explodes when they try to evacuate comes to mind) is mind-bogglingly huge. Its a testament to just how awesome Killzone's game engine is and how good their animation department is. - - - I do think that the models, particularly for the Helghast in multiplayer are great. The Helghan tactician looks so cool. I'm glad that the models are Stahl's private soldiers as the models, the normal ones from KZ2 looked great, but these look so cool. Super shiny :smileyhappy: Lots of people might complain, but nobody could have pulled this off, not on this scale, not with visuals even half as good as this, (Crysis what?). Well done Guerilla games. Well done :smileyhappy:
