What is the age bracket of people commenting here? From the look of it, it's teenagers to young adults who can't get through their head that there is advertising on other services you pay for.
What makes this one any different? And by all means, if you want to jump over to Sony, goodbye. There isn't much going on over there and this is coming from someone who pays for PSN Plus. Offers are great, I'll give 'em that, but you must remain a PSN Plus member to continue accessing your free games and other content.
Suck it up, buttercup. You'd think by reading these comments, a lot of you live in a cave. I pay in excess of $1000 a year for Foxtel (cable TV) and I see advertising. Oh no, they must be greedy!
@spoonybard-hahs @megadeth1117 Littered with them? Didn't think a handful of ads thrown around various parts of the dashboard was littering. I hope you don't pay for cable TV because you're in for a big surprise!
I am not a fan of it, but as long as they aren't in my games (exclude EA, even though those ads don't stop you from playing the game itself) then keep doing what you're doing. At least someone is turning over a decent profit with the console and its online services.
@msudude211 I think it's safe to say that it's because we grew up with Pokemon. Not just that, but the gameplay hasn't evolved too much, which is what I like about it.
It has kept its original roots, which is why I could easily spend 20+ hours of my weekend laying on a bed, playing the games.
YAY! Online pass for local co-op access. Oh wait, that was THQ and Saints Row: The Third.
EA have already bought the rights for UFC video games. I actually believe, as much as I'd have to admit it, they will do a great job. It sucks because their servers aren't the greatest, but at least it's in the hands of a company who know how to do sport games (excluding NBA).
The last good Bond game was GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64, so I fail to see why anyone should care about these titles being removed from Steam, Xbox LIVE and maybe the PlayStation Store.
You can't sugarcoat chapter 11 bankruptcy. Not everyone recovers from it. Not everyone would want to back a company who is in that position.
It is sad, don't let this comment make me come off as an a-hole, but THQ made big mistakes. I LOVE Saints Row, but I hate what they did with SR: The Third and how it turned into DLC heaven. Then they tried to sell another add-on as a standalone title, which backfired altogether.
Things like that make you wonder if they ever stopped to think what may happen.
@Albaficas Not even going into that argument, but why I like Sony and PSN in general is because of the blogs. They keep you updated on what's going on, on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, Microsoft and XBL? I love my Xbox and game on it far more than my PS3, but Microsoft don't do a good job of keeping users in the loop.
