@runstalker: People have complained about the dated tech of PS Camera and Move. I watched a critic last night that said they couldnt recommend the PS Move or Camera cause how bad it was. Alanah Pearce of IGN. She just did her video a few days ago i think, i watched it the other day.
@Byshop: True, but it can also mean that they had to change their original creative direction into a new direction to address the negative feedback. Which is likely since thats exactly what they stated as to why they reevaluated their original decision.
Nintendo does this all the time without the negative feedback. They call it localization. But if Nintendo ever released something, and then later removed it due to a small vocal minority, it might make for a silly move.
@ojmstr: Thats true too, but then that doesnt explain why such low projections. 1 million sold? Nintendos worst ever console got canceled cause it couldnt get over 750k sold during its first months. This means that the VR games will most likely be super short and cheap to cater to 1 million.
No way they invest in big long VR games when exceptions are so low, they wouldnt make their money back.
@rmiller365: The integrity of gaming is one of the most important issues in the world. Gaming brings the world together no matter what separates us. Its something we all can enjoy. Gaming is love, gaming is freedom, and gaming is changing the world. Not even the worlds most cruel dictators can censor its people from gaming. People will fight and die for the freedom to game, just look at China, they were ready to burn China down when they tried to ban and regulate WoW.
Wow, so not even Sony had much faith in VR. Im guessing their expected numbers was 500k and they had to delay a year to produce double that which would be having anywhere from 250-500K units ready for launch.
