Think I agree with Guild Wars. Also how are people comming to the conclusion that it's not an MMO? Yes, its sharded and instanced.. but so what? Most MMOs make use of instancing.
GW2 is supposed to have less of it, which is good.
EVE online has a great player driven economy.
There is not enough power available atm. Even if there is, most people won't be using it yet. Developers want their games to work on as many systems as possible = more sales.
Dammit, the only way WoW is ever going to get killed is if somebody manages to get to all the servers and physically blow them up. Anything short of that and in all liklihood its just not going to happen.

They probably has failover servers on the moon just in case.
The only thing that will kill WoW is a new MMO by Blizzard.
[QUOTE="Mazoch"]What he said. Most games aren't Linux compatible. Although... Wine lets you use some Windows programs, but I wouldn't recommend it as programs tend to be glitchy and/or buggy with it. Why not dual boot? That way you have Windows for gaming and Ubuntu for email, internet, and whatever else you feel like doing. If you like gaming you shouldn't.

Not worth the effort if you are only gonna use Ubuntu for email and internet. May aswell just stick with windows.
No games this month.
There is no point hyping a game that we have seen nothing of yet, apart from a cg trailer. Anyhow, I think Anarchy Online was really amazing for its time, so you would think they would have pulled of AoC.
I have more faith in World of Darkness, its being made by CCP and tbh they are not a company I can see messing things up. Its got a very similar universe / setting to The Secret World.
Will just have to wait and see I guess. It will be years before we are playing these games anyway. Heck I may even have a job.. or kids.
What are people views on Anarchism? I don't really understand how it would work. I mean sure 'in theory' it could work, but I think the main problems are:
- What would the dis-incentive be for people not to kill one another, steal, etc. Likewise, what the incentive be for anyone to aid someone who was under attack by someone else?
- How would people trade without a currency of fixed value, relulated by the state? Yes, people could barter, but for what?
- How would education and health care be provided?
These are just some of the problems I see with it; could probably think of more. So yeah, don't really get the people who advocate Anarchism.
"Objectives

- Holding prisoners securely
- Reducing the risk of prisoners re-offending
- Providingsafe and well-ordered establishments in which we treat prisoners humanely, decently and lawfully."

He is not exactly capable of re-offending, whilst dying of cancer. The most humane thing to do is release him to die.
