How about giving the Triangle button the right-panel sub-menu power in the UI again, like on the PS3, because enough 1 step forward, 2 steps back already? That Options button is more cumbersome, slow, less efficient to hit because it's out of the way in how it requires to be depressed to register. There is no rule that 2 buttons can't do the same task, Sony.
System allocation to remember your sorting order of local trophies. I'm not a fan of having to go into Sort every so often. Give that sorting power to the quick-menu trophies too.
@Celiria_Rose: Exactly. Lol. I don't even know where to start. And he's cursing like a 10-year old who just learned that word, I think he's lost it and/ or senility has already kicked in.
@Mogan: Matters in priority of importance in a videogame. Just because I said gameplay is what actually matters in a videogame, doesn't mean the rest aren't up for critique or factor into the view of the overall package where everything else comes into play.
@Gelugon_baat: I played DMC1 back in the day and some of it on HD PS3, never played DMC2 and only played DMC3 on HD PS3 last year (which I didn't like but gameplay holds up really well and is some of the deepest in a videogame).
You are tripping. Besides DMC2, DMC1 defined what action games are when it practically invented the genre. Their gameplay stands among Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden as some of the best.
Jank, lol. What's your skill level? What difficulty have you completed the games on? Have you 100% completed games like Bayo, Vanquish, MGR:R?
Old Dante is cool and charming without trying to be cool, and the writing is intentionally camp with one-liners. Still, nothing comes close to the ridiculous plot, cringe profanity ridden tryhard dialogue and story of DmC which takes itself so damn serious, forgetting what made the original character and series appealing. Only ignorant, low-skill people (you admitted it yourself that the combat is dumbed down) would put DmC > DMC.
@Wraith3: When you compare your skills against others' on a competitive playing field, especially when it involves teamwork and the results can be tallied and judged quantitatively, it can definitely be considered a sport.
It also means more than that most well-known/ accepted definition. A > C:
Definition of sport (intransitive verb)
1a : to amuse oneself : frolic, b : to engage in a sport
sport (2) noun
a : a source of diversion : recreation, b : sexual play, c (1) : physical activity engaged in for pleasure (2) : a particular activity (such as an athletic game) so engaged in
----------
verb
: to wear (something) in a way that attracts attention
@Wraith3: Like competitive gamers don't invest time and sweat and make equivalent sacrifices. You simply choose to value physical athleticism more than the mental aspect, which is not that far removed from each other in both fields. They also train their arms, wrists and fingers by the way, from what minimal knowledge I have of it because I don't watch or participate in them.
Working with a team in a game like CS or DOTA or whatever else also involves the same type of cooperation as physical team sports, if not more so because so many more factors are involved in a digital world than a limited physical field.
@Gelugon_baat: You don't say. Even shit attracts flies.
The originals, from their unbroken, standing the test of time gameplay (what actually matters), to the much cooler Dante.
You really liked that scene where the Succubus and Donte exchanged FU's over and over in this pathetic reboot? What brilliant writing that was! So much cringe in a tryhard punk character.
