depends on who u are, and what u like. i like skateboarding, so i appreciate the realism of skate, and that's why i prefer it over tony hawk games atm. here's the deal:

from what i've seen of skate, it's realistic, and the animations are amazing,,,, especially with the sketchy landings off of rails (i love em so much). The whole 'security' thing makes it more appealing, and the fact that 12million point combos are non-existant is a major PRO. i'd rather see the smoothest kickflip off a 7set get 200 points than see a 50combo move get 50 times as many points. In skate... "lines" will actually be "lines" as opposed to "combos" if u get what i mean. Plus, skate is new, and for a first time game... it's looking awesome... a much anticipated change from the same old Tony Hawk series, which i've begun calling 'a button mashing game' ever since these 'flickit' controls were revealed.

i think that this 'feature' will be more like streaming. basically, when u put the DVD in, there will be a 2 or 3 minute load time [slightly longer than average i mean]. This would be when the game is unpacking certain files onto ur HDD. Now, when u start playing, the game will load from the HDD as well as the DVD, so the games can be bigger, and the load times can be maintained / faster. Now, when u eject ur disk, all those unpacked files will delete themselves, and u won't lose any space, as such. this is MSs alternate to having all of us buy HDDVD drives... i think at least....

just specualtion.

this is a wild guess based on my computer 'expertise' [sense the sarcasm]... but try a different plug. i'm guessing not enough power is reaching ur 360, so its restarting on its own. Used to happen to my PC back in india during power fluctuations (tilliboughtaUPS).

eitherget a step-down convertor, or buy a multi-voltage AC adapter, or a new AC adapter. I asked MS and they said that they sell AC Adapters seperately, so u might wanna go to some stores where u stay in europe and ask for AC adapters for the 360. Also, multivoltage ones are available... saw one in amazon recently...... don't have the link sorry :(.

sorry to hear the bad news, hope it's not as bad as it sounds! and this is why i like this big brick of an external adapter. at least u can change it! if it were internal, the only way u'd be able to work it in a country with different voltage [110V vs 220V] was either convertor, or voiding ur warranty.

LEARN TO LOVE THE BRICK ADAPTER :D!
