I have to get my a$$ in gear

I have to catch up on a lot of homework, I need cash, and of course I want to keep my creative juices flowing.

I have to read four long chapters in my Poli Sci book by Thursday, as well as do some studying for a test I have that day. I also have to write a 6- to 8-page paper for English by Friday. I want to get my reading done today and tomorrow, and I plan on starting my essay tomorrow.Tomorrow I will also start looking for a job.

I think the best time to draw is at school, since I get there early and I usually have time to get started on a new piece. So I will continue finding ways to squeeze in some time in my day for art.

Then there is also Zelda. I am going to be busy, but I'm pretty sure I can find at least a little time to play. The writer in me wants to keep a journal of my progress in that game. I may do that, or I may not. It is something I would like to do though.

On a lighter note, today I went with my girlfriend to get her first tattoo. She was so happy to finally get her tattoo, and I was happy for her. I wanted to pay for it, but again, I have no money. :( She plans on getting more though, so I told her I would pay for her next one. Her friend did it for her anyways, and he didn't charge her, but she still gave him $10 as a tip. I think she wanted me to get one too, but I'm not really a tattoo person. I enjoy them a lot on other people, but I don't think I would get one.

Yesterday... Not very productive

So, the first thing I did yesterday was work on some art. It's a very small piece. (Cut a sheet of printer paper in half.) For the next few weeks I am going to work on a smaller scale like that. On the side, however, I still havean 18" X 24" piece that I would like to get started on. I've done three of those recently, one of which I just finished Friday, and they do take me a good while to finish, but the end result always leaves me satisfied. This fourth piece will probably be the last large piece I do in a good while.

I talked tomy girlfriendpractically the whole day yesterday. It was nice. I also registered Phantom Hourglass online, so now I'm getting a free feather stylus! (The little things make me happy. Oh, and thanks to Warfust for informing me about that!) While I was at it, I also registered all my DS and Wii games. (Clearly, I was bored.)

I played a little Phantom Hourglass too. I finally got around to playing the online multiplayer. It's not incredibly deep, but it's a fun little distraction, and it works well. Plus, it's also just fun to play Zelda competitively.

I played some SmackDown! too. I have to play through Season Mode a few times to unlock everything. Before bed I read one of five Game Informer magazines given to me by my best friend. I'll probably read another one today.

All in all, yesterday was not an entirely productive day. I am, however, happy to report that on Friday, as I did two small pieces, ideas for new pieces came to my head. I can honestly say I have a basic idea of what to do for my next 15 or 20 drawings.

Level 27: Sheng Long

I'm glad I ranked up again. I have to start posting in the forums again; I haven't done that in a while. Also, it's been ages since I posted a review. Maybe I'll do Mario Strikers Charged next. Or perhaps Phantom Hourglass when I'm done with that.

Phantom Hourglass

My girlfriend and I went to Gamestop yesterday. She got The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for me. I told her she didn't have to, but she wouldn't take no for an answer. I really appreciated it, and hell, now that game means more to me.

The first cut-scene was already winning me over. I played for a little while and really started getting into it. I've been playing since yesterday and I am easily falling in love with this game more and more. The Wind Waker was my favorite Zelda game, and I am very happy to be playing a direct, traditional sequel to that game.

In other news: I finally got 100% in The Warriors. I started that game this summer, and I am glad that I finally accomplished full completion of the game. I will, however, play it again on the two tougher difficulties.

A new hobby

I recently took up skating, and lately I've seen some improvement. Yesterday I pretty much defined the way I would do it, and today I put it into practice. I'm getting a lot more confident now too, so that's another major improvement.

I fell on my a$$, but it was ok.

R.I.P. Cinderella

My littleparakeet Cinderella died today. She really couldn't take the heat, and everyday I really wondered if she was going to make it. At least she's resting now.

I had her for about 2 years. I tried to tame her but couldn't; she was too aggressive. Still, I remember these last few months she would just stare at me so I could give her food and water, and spray her with fresh water when she was hot.

I'll miss that little bird.

I'm back !

I haven't been on Gamespot in quite some time. How is everyone? I'm fine. I started school last week. I'm taking Political Science, Biology 6, and English 1C (I'm almost done with the English requirement).

I haven't been playing games all that much, and I am not very updated, save for a few things here and there. Out of the lengthy list of games I wanted to pass this Summer, I only passed 2. Oh, well.

I've been really busy with my art-making. See, this Summer I met a girl who is a wonderful and talented artist. We got along really well, we hit it off, and long story short, we found that we wanted to be together. I really enjoy being with an artist, because she inspires me so much. I've never mentioned this here on Gamespot, but I've been making art for about 6 years now. It is something I am very passionate about. I was uninspired for over a year, but as soon as I met her, I wanted to start making art again.

I missed it here on Gamespot, and I'll be sure to come on at least once a day. So, how was everyone's Summer?

Fifty-one Percent

I've gotten halfway through The Warriors. I really like the game, because it's not just a senseless beat 'em up; it incorporates small tasks in between all the brawling. Maybe I'll be done with it by this weekend.

I realize I haven't been on as much lately. The reason is that I just got back into my art, so I'm trying to devote a little time for art-making almost everyday.

I started playing...

...The Warriors the other day. I've been meaning to start on it, but too many distractions got in the way. I'm really enjoying it. I'm not a big fan of beat 'em ups, but The Warriors manages to successfully mix in interesting objectives in between all the brawling.
