ultra's suck and the game is really balanced, but this leads to it being boring due to low damage matches. they really took a step back from Sf3, especially 3rd strike. mk9 is going back to its roots in terms of gameplay (like no more 3d) and it has a really sweet assist mechanic now. it will be awesomeEasily scorpion!
On another note, i only liked mk 1 and 2 the rest were meh. Ive always been a street fighter guy, except i hate sf4 and am liking how the new mk is looking/playing. is that weird? i feel like capcom has dropped the ball with sf4

the game is fine gameplay wise, it just needs a better netcode (which it will never get). the game is still very deep and fast, the only real problem with the game is lvl3 x-factor being WAY too powerful, especially for characters like sentinel and dark pheonix who can chip the **** out of you instantly
serious sam second encounter HD on serious, you might not finish, but the video will be filled with so many curse words that it would be pretty hilarious
[QUOTE="Nick3306"]I know i was just shot 4 times, let me hide behind this magic wall and the bullet wounds go away! hurray! Health regen sucks, it just gives noobs a second chance.topgunmv
The "realism" argument is definatly the wrong one to make, one way or the other.
he's not using the realism argument however. read the article the whole first page is about saying that health packs are unrealistic also.i feel that we should wait for a bit more info, but if it really is CoDized, i think i will go shoot the developers for ruining another potentially great series (except for Deus ex, portal 2 and brink, i am basically refusing to buy another shooter ever again after seeing the rise in the CoD-ish type of shooter. it was fun for a while, but now everybodies doing and its getting super annoying). all it needs is a few more guns(the first one had really awesome, disgusting weapons, like the minigun/grenade launcher), more done with the spirit mode, better AI, harder puzzles, more enemy variety, keep the two fire modes per gun, no aiming down the sights, and more vagina doors
(with good reason)

that's the problem right there. saying a developer is lazy because they are using an older engine is not a good reason. the reason UE3 and Source are picked are because the look good, run well on most computers and many developers are familiar with them. There are other engines out there, but they could be harder to use, maybe they dont fit the game well, or they dont run well. you cant blame a developer for sticking with what they know, especially when publishers like activision basically force these guys to pump out games like crazy. also it takes ALOT of money and R&D to build a new engine, and usually they take a few years to finish, and even then they will still be supported with updates and stuff like that. the source engine to this day is still getting news tools like better particle effects and such.
