[QUOTE="isaackuhlman"]

Then you are a bad one.

[QUOTE="isaackuhlman"]The fact is the movie had terrible acting, horrible sets, horrible costumes, took a million-dollar budget and made a 10,000-dollar film, had crap props (organs bouncing across the ground like basketballs), and had terrible writing not to mention based on a dumb story, then what do you want me to say about it?Starshine_M2A2

As I said earlier, this is an homage to exploitation grindhouse films that were defined by precisely the elements you have just described so what did you expect? You clearly don't know what a grindhouse film is.

I look forward to the indie slashers and zombie movies a lot. This one just sucked. Sorry.isaackuhlman

Hobo with a Shotgun is neither an indie slasher or a zombie film...you don't even know what genre you're looking at.

Did you seriously watch the same movie as I did? Because an homage is one thing. Making a bad film is another one. And you, sir, have the hipster-cool down.

I would just like to state for the sake of semantics that the initial argument is self-contradicting. To say, "There's more fish in the sea" is b.s. is contradictory because you already know that, in fact, there are more "fish in the sea." What the argument this 16-year old male would like to debate is whether there are BETTER "fish in the sea."

I would like to throw my hat in on the latter debate. All women are pretty awesome at first, but a lot can get crazy quick. If you find a girl that doesn't piss you off or "gets you" then just keep doing that until you don't want to anymore. It's all meaningless unless you are enjoying it.

[QUOTE="isaackuhlman"]Don't listen to this person...I was looking forward to Hobo With A Shotgun for months, and when I finally saw it, it was a giant turd sandwhich. Other than the soliloquy that Rutger Hauer said in the nursery, the movie sucked balls. I could care less what other people think of movies, but I have a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about. I don't try to make a crap movie sound good or a good movie seem great. I KEEPS IT REAL! Ha ha.

An overwhelming number of film critics disagree with you. And considering that they're the professionals, i'm inclined to listen to them.

It sounds to me like you took the film way too seriously. It started life as a fake trailer on the Tarantino/Rodriguez Grindhouse double bill and was then extended into a full feature film. Like Grindhouse, Hobo With a Shotgun is an homage to the past era of exploitation films where violence is the main draw. The film is both inventive and cheerfully sarcastic towards the mainstream cinema industry. If you were expecting an intellectual masterpiece, than of course you'll be disappointed.

I am glad I didn't have to type that, thank you. Summed up my opinion on people who think it is s*** perfectly.

I actually am a film critic. However, I don't get paid to make crappy films seem better, so I will just tell you how it is. The fact that you felt the need to tell me that Hobo w/a Shotgun was based on the trailer, seems redundant. If I took the time to watch it and expect it to be an awesome movie from what I heard from colleagues and friends, then I would be stupid not to have any idea of what it came from or why I wanted to see it. The fact is the movie had terrible acting, horrible sets, horrible costumes, took a million-dollar budget and made a 10,000-dollar film, had crap props (organs bouncing across the ground like basketballs), and had terrible writing not to mention based on a dumb story, then what do you want me to say about it? Sorry, here's what I should say, "Because the director took his producer's money and pocketed 900,000 to make a dumb movie but said 'THAT'S HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE...IT'S GENIUS.', makes this movie awesome somehow." No, fact is the movie was crap. I'm not friends with the director, so I can't say that it was good because I feel bad that is wasn't. It was just a dumb movie. I look forward to the indie slashers and zombie movies a lot. This one just sucked. Sorry.

[QUOTE="isaackuhlman"]4.) This was the second worst movie I have seen this year (after Hobo With A Shotgun...what a piece of dogcrap that was).Ultrabeatdown55
Don't listen to a word this guy says, simply for the fact that he thinks Hobo With A Shotgun was bad. That is a great film.

I just have to set the record straight:

1.) If you like action movies without a plot, then you will actually HATE this movie. (reason, the plot is what this movie tries to convince you is the most important piece of the movie, but it is aweful)

2.) Hot chicks in CGI fight scenes are cool, however, this movie makes it as lame as that concept can possibly be. All the fight scenes are repetitive and structured into a 2nd-grade script.

3.) If you like Zak Snyder, you will NOT like this movie. It is so much worse than anything he has ever done (even Owls of Ga'Hoole).

4.) This was the second worst movie I have seen this year (after Hobo With A Shotgun...what a piece of dogcrap that was).

5.) This topic has been argued several times now, and only 13-year old kids find this movie to be stimulating in anyway.

To sum up, seriously, this movie is utterly shameful in every way possible. The soundtrack is highly overrated because all the cover songs that they got Emily what's-her-face to sing were worse than the originals. The visuals were awesome if I was playing a video game or watching a music video. For a 2-hour movie it was just boring.

Now, I normally don't give two craps about finance, but it seems the last time this happened the U.S. was in a world of crap for 3 years financially. Not only is the U.S. Gov't broke, but it looks like the stock market is going to fall out the bottom. Guess who gets to pay for it all? The lowly people who DON'T make 1 million dollars a year. Yay! Can't wait.

P.S. The Dow Jones just dropped almost a full 6% today. That is, to put it mildly, beyond bonkers.

I'd turn Hitler into a cage fighter. Then he wouldn't have to worry about getting depressed and trying to commit genocide. He'd just have to prove his mustachioed might in the Octagon. Ha ha. That would be something.

2) Spirit of The Radio - Rush

Prime5665

Great effing tune. I always loved that song.

Also, I find it odd that 2 people have put "Walk" by the Foo Fighters up there. I agree the Foo Fighters are good, and the song is good, but surely a song like "Everlong", "My Hero", or "All My Life" is more promising as a fave of the Foo, no?
