I don't know much about him but I do know Disney's pattern of behavior. They erase people when they don't have the right political views/opinions.

The bad new is that that it's NOT being made? I was way off.

I'm not angered by him or his movies. He's a director who has a very specific sensibility and he gets hired by people. The problem is that both he and the those doing the hiring have no connection to the material he's adapting. It's not something that inspired him, or if it was he forgot why he felt that way. If this is what he thinks Star Wars is or should be, he never understood it. He was on JRE talking about putting Superman in a position where he'd have to kill simply because Superman isn't supposed to kill. That's not compelling it's just contrarian, anti-hero BS. These characters are still niche regardless of how well known they are. For some he's a thing that's been around forever and not that important to them. But for some the character is a symbol they found when they were very young which represents an understanding of the world or a parent or just the idea that people should be good, honest and strong. To them the character means far more than Snyder or WB could grasp and when they get it wrong they make it known. Snyder's being willfully ignorant and just wants to make everything bleak. Maybe he should get to work on 300 2. He can be as bleak as he likes, revisiting the battlefield and just showing all the corpses rotting. That's more his style.

I'm shocked they gave up exclusivity to D+. It's definitely a smarter move, I just didn't think Disney had any brains but maybe they are starting to realize what a mistake getting into streaming was. They've lost 11 billion on the service not figuring the loss in revenue from the lack of physical media or third party licensing. When they launched they didn't predict being profitable til 2024 or 25 but it looks like it'll be longer than that if ever.

They really need to leave this alone for a while. It's been said about every major property out there but I think it's true. They've been stretched too far, they've lost their shape and they need to spend a while in time out. I realize it won't happen but I'd like this and the others to get several years off and then return with a SINGULAR vision of the character. There were three major live action versions over the last twelve years plus the animated versions and and unless you're a timelord that's too many.

If WB were a superhero it's power would be to totally miss the point in any situation.

I've got a series X and it's a good machine. That being said, looking at the state of XBOX right now I can't come up with a reason the series X needs to exist. I have no issue with access to games and will never whine about the PS running XBOX games, but I do feel a bit like I did when Nintendo left the Wii U to die.

@jenovaschilld: I know what you mean about the that itch. I put 25 hours into it, thank you game pass, and just put the controller down. I wasn't angry or upset. I was just like "yeah, ok". There's a story there and there's gameplay but it's all buried under dialog trees and loading screens. I really did want to like it but it's all promises of ice cream and cookies but what you get is low fat frozen yogurt and triscuits.

Performance wise I was baffled. My PC is from early 2019, 9th gen I7 with 16G DDR4 and a 2080 super. Good 1080 rig but I wanted to see this look really good in 4K so I opted to install in the series X. Holy crap. The "most powerful console in the world" about blew itself out trying to get 30 fps. Ultimately I saw what the game was and uninstalled. I'll admit I've never been a bethesda fan but hearing so much about this and the promises that were made I wanted to see for myself. I was underwhelmed. However I could see this being a lot of fun with a buddy.

Hey thanks for the reply.
