Send Nintendo a message and don't buy it.

Golly, what a shock. Nintendo needs to go the way of Sega. Stop making a mess in the hardware world and stick to software. Sega at least tried to meet customer demands but Nintendo intentionally disappoints us. Every hardware launch is somehow plagued by shortages when they know full well what the demand will be. Also, the hardware they produce is never close to cutting edge in terms of power so there's no excuse for parts shortages. Everything they use is readily available. This nes classic nonsense is nothing more than Nintendo toying with its fans. If they really had their fans in mind they'd make their roms readily available to play legitimately on mobile devices. You can easily do it now but not without getting into dangerous territory about rights.

Here's what you do Nintendo. Produce an emulator for your classic games, either all in one for nes and snes or seperately. You know people will pay for it but here's the thing, don't screw people. We saw you charge $10 for that awful mario run game and it's too much. Charge $5. Then make the roms available to buy individually for a couple bucks each, not $20. I GUARANTEE you'll make more than you have off the virtual console. If I could spend under $20 and have the handful of games I love from my childhood I'd do it in a heartbeat, and so would pretty much everyone who has a smartphone. I've got a shield tablet that has a dedicated wireless controller and has HDMI out. It's vastly superior to the crappy little machine in the nes classic console. Just release the software, that's it. You don't have to make anything. Just sit back and collect the money.
