If they had just done a marketing campaign that let the public know it existed and then released it and let people make up their own minds it would have done ok. But telling people what to think of it before they see it just reeks of insecurity and turns people off. If you don't have enough faith in your performance to let it speak for itself why should I give it a chance?

When you front load politics into a piece of entertainment is ceases to be entertainment and becomes a bummer.

Oh schadenfreude, you delicious little bastard. I'm a pretty empathetic person really. I generally don't like seeing bad things happen. But after the corporate attack on the public by disney when the public didn't like what they had done with TLJ, I'm really enjoying this. It will still make over a billion dollars but it's not a sign of quality. Bob Eiger could fart in a jar and it would sell for a few million because disney basically prints its own cash. But people are waking up finally to the fact that star wars is just done and has become something else. And that's fine really. All things move forward and are taken up by the current generation. That actually how it's supposed to be. What's weird is how star wars fandom really revolves around three 40 year old movies because everything else in the franchise has been a disaster. It really is ok, if you liked the originals but not much since episode 6, to say you aren't a fan because you aren't. Star wars IS this trilogy now. That's what it has become. If people would stop clinging to this thing from the 80's and allow themselves to move on none of this would be an issue. Also, if legacy star wars fans would just let it go and stop going to see movies that make them angry maybe disney wouldn't make so obscenely much money for putting out trash.

I just,... Who is this movie for?!?!? It's not for young kids. Most have never played sonic and if they have it would have been a historical exploration. The character was popular with kids in the 90's and hasn't been terribly popular since. So unless they're banking on a bunch of mostly guys in their 40's packing theaters, this movie has no audience. Add to that it's a video game movie, most of which just don't work, and the character of super fast spaz has already been done in over the hedge and angry birds. And neither of those (I suppose over the hedge was kind of fun) were all that great either. So they made an expensive CGI movie then redesigned the main character costing dozens of millions more, which no one will care about.

This so so confusing. Not the game, it was always going to be an online live service. Duh. What's confusing is the public reception to this combined with recent events and Blizzard's legacy of behavior. They've been pushing this business model for about two decades trying to exploit monetization at every turn and only relenting when they face huge backlash. There's the recent Hong Kong controversy, the Diablo immortal announcement last year, and now this D4 always online announcement. All of these things individually should be enough to steer people away from supporting this company and combined should result in a full on worldwide boycott. But people are still going to buy this game and continue to support this company which is why they will always get away with whatever they want. The problem with gaming today is every bit due to gamers as much as greedy publishers.

I hope people will show a little backbone and ignore the convention. Seems pretty clear Blizzard doesn't care about its customer base.

Suicide Squad permanently tainted that version of the joker and it wasn't all that interesting to begin with. There was nothing beyond the outward appearance with the piercings and the goth crap that made it distinctive. They had to make a hard turn if that character was ever going to have a chance to succeed in a movie.

I'm a bit, well, not annoyed really but confused about nerfing the bosses. The Katagawa ball kicked my ass a few times but I leveled up a bit and beat it and the rest of the bosses. Seems like the point of the game is leveling up to the point where you can progress through the campaign. If you can't beat a boss you haven't gotten strong enough. I just don't see the point in weakening enemies. People are beating the game right?

How about this? The marketplace for any game becomes an optional download. This will do nothing to affect how developers change game balance to drive spending, but it will at least give the option of not having to look at the damn thing.
