Spin offs?! I've been tired of the mainstream movies since the first movie... And as for a female lead, I point you to that god awful ghostbusters reboot a few years back.

If they went back to the roots of the series, where it was just good, old fashion street racing, man or woman lead wouldn't matter, it may work,

but, after 20+ years, and at least 5 of these movies, all this unbelievable bull shit, and the goverment relying on a bunch of low class gear head/thieves from LA to "save the world"...gets boring real fast.
