@GalvatronType_R: you won't die if you can't play games anymore, but for some, games are an 'escape' from reality, a hobby to let off steam from everyday life...
Everyone NEEDS hobby, regardless of what it is.
While you can't physically die from not being able to play games (or have a hobby)
what is life, if you can't enjoy something 'fun' from time to time, and are just living to pay taxes/bills/car insurance ect. And die?!
The Microtransactions per-se I could not give a rats. What pisses me off are the huge advertisements in the main menu and purchasable items being flashed into my face constantly like “hey look, stop looking like crap and buy this armor set and start being cool!”. If they’d be be discrete or hide that I would not mind but it just makes developers look like greedy shmucks in terms of “if you want to look cool, pay money, or enjoy the on purpose boring cosmetics that comes free with the game”.
The advertising is part of the MTX psychology. You can't 'Not care' about one, and dislike the other. There practically one in the same beast...
It's the way the game developers trigger that urge in the 'weak minded' and get the to succumb to the beast that is MTX.
@astrokidwell: And you're 100% part of the problem. You let things like this slide because the game's fun or whatever, but at the end of the day, making excuses for these macrotransactions (there's nothing micro about these) enables companies to get away with it.
Give @ratchet200 a million dollars! This is 100% correct. Thumbs up!
I'm currently typing this comment at 60fps... now I'm typing at 30fps... now I'm back up to 60.
Just wondering how many people could actually tell the difference?
lol typing is a lot different than actual movement. 30FPS in a modern world is shit. If you were playing an old Nintendo game, it might be more acceptable, but a fast paced shooter is much better at higher FPS... At least 60FPS.
I personally can't even stand 60FPS anymore, after jumping to 144.
I've played on higher refresh monitors before... 240+ and, the difference between 144 and 240 is questionable, but there is a difference (to me at least) between 60 and 144, and definitely a noticeable difference between 30 and 60.
$300 bucks for a watch that probably cost $20 bucks (if that) to make. unless it interacts with the game in some way, I would just spend a few dollars more, and buy an apple watch.
You'll look like a total "mark" wearing that thing in public. Lol
really just a $300 paper weight, look most "collectors editions"
Oh well, some people like to waste money on stupid shit... we are all probably guilty of it at one point or another.
The controller looks pretty dope, and you'll actually get some use outta that.
