people arent responding because its an obvious answer. if you cant figure it out then i dont know what to tell you Ummm... I don't know which is better. That is why people come to this board, to get hardware HELP. how is someone to know how good it is if it isnt out yet? nobody owns the card. the specs arent set in stone. even if they were the same, why would you by a dx9 card instead of a card that will do both dx9 and dx10? there are plenty of posts on this very subject, use the search feature Did you even read my post? I was asking if I should wait for the 8600 or get a 7900gs. I wasn't asking for a comparison. Before you flame, read all the post ;) the fact that it is dx10 should answer your non-question
