Hey everyone,
I recently purchased Company of Heroes, Titan Quest and its expansion from Steam, but when I try to launch them, they won't. All that happens is the little window that comes up saying "Preparing to launch Titan Quest..." appears and then it gives me one dot, two dot, three dot, one dot, and then nothing. I've let it sit all night and it has stayed just like that, so what's the problem? I've scoured the Steam Support pages, but I cannot find anything concerning my problem. Could any of you direct me to the topic or solution please? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,
NeonBlackJack

Hey everyone,

It was just  announced yesterday that Dell will be offering Linux pre-installed on their machines beginning late-May of this year. Here's a link to the article http://www.desktoplinux.com/news/NS8661763902.html  The Linux flavor that it is assumed they will offer is Ubuntu, and though I personally have never tried Linux, I have always intended to. I feel like making a linux partition on my computer now after reading this.

My main topic for discussion is, how do you feel that this decision for the top PC-retailer to start offering Linux will affect the PC game industry? Will more games start to be Linux-compatible?

Personally, I'm completely comfortable with Bethesda moving Fallout to an Oblivion-esque feel. That is a much more immersive perspective in my opinion. The atmosphere is what is most important about the Fallout series, and that is the best way to acheive the atmosphere. It'll still be a great game.

I played the Beta for a while, but I don't really plan on ordering it. Though not really because I think it's a bad game. It's just that I played WoW for a few months, and then got completely bored with it. I wanted back the life I had used up, and this game reminds me far too much of WoW. So basically, I just haven't met a MMO that I truly enjoy enough to support. Though I shall keep looking!!!

First game I ever played was a great game called "Catacomb" on the Tandy 1000 in my Dad's shop. I was like 6 at the time...took me so long to figure out how to work that thing and play a game. I didn't even know what a game was...just that it was FUN!!! I'm proud that my little 6 year-old self figured DOS out. There was also this great helicopter game that I played with a joystick. The joystick was literally a box...with a stick...and two buttons...good times.

NO YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE! Wow...one of my absolute favorite games ever. I just loved that world. It completely sucked me in, and the whole Steampunk aspect was great. Now I feel like playing it again... Such a classic. I would really love a remake, as long as they don't botch it like so many remakes do...

ah...Grim Fandango... I just played that game again about a month ago after a sudden attack of nostalgia. It's such a classic. By the end of it, I was really really upset to say goodbye to those characters.

I agree that Sid Meiers' Pirates! is your best bet as far as pirate games go. However, despite its terrible reviews, I did sufficiently enjoy Tortuga: Two Treasures. There is a variety of stuff to do, and everything is so stereotypically PIRATE that you just can't help but laugh. It's not a great game, but it's entertaining enough if you're really craving a pirate fix.

You're hilarious GamerChris...And yes I would LOVE another Sacrifice game! The first was great, there's something just plain fun about summoning volcanoes and earthquakes in the middle of huge battles with weird creatures. A second would be amazing!
