Fallout 2 review from a Christian perspective

Notice how they give the Gameplay 5/5, but take away severe points for featuring adult content and violence? They then give it a bad review and suggest Fallout Tactics as a better alternative. :o

Check out this Christian review for Everquest

Use of magic cannot be avoided. I say this because many of the cl@ss choices use magic, and if you don't as a character you will come into contact with an enemy that does, and will be forced to fight or die. Personally I play a monk as my favored cl@ss because monks are healers and can remain agnostic which lets you show the servanthood of Christians without requiring the name of a false god.Lilac_Benjie

On the plus side. "Everquest" is a great place to preach the gospel. A simple zone wide chat message will attract many to ask questions about Jesus, or about Christianity.

Go with God, if you choose to play "EQ" then remember your mission as a Christian. Have fun and be well.

Why do Christians object to art as much as they object to the civil rights movement?

Why do Christians even exist when they promote such absurd ideas as spamming everquest with bible quotes in the name of good ethics? You would think that given the choice................. :x

not all Christians are like that.  theres nothing wrong with videogames.  i play oblivion all the time and I use spells and there are made up Gods in that game.  so, I still worship God, and he'll forgive me if I ask. but I honestly don't think that playing videogames with violence, magic, and all that stuff is going to do anything.  Its not like I'm trying to do that stuff in real life, it would just be a waste of time.   as for putting bible quotes in Everquest, let them.  we have the right of free speech and they can preach Christianity.

What are you going to do when you finally die...and then all you see is black...for years upon years to come...schoeffmaster

if you believed that, you wouldn't see black.  you wouldn't hear, see, smell, taste, touch, or feel anything. can't think of anything worse than that.  I personally don't believe that.

proof of God?  not necessarly.  act of God?  maybe, but that is really good news.  I'm glad she recovered.  maybe God did help her recover.

[QUOTE="elmo90"][QUOTE="Herrick"][QUOTE="psr388"]

Why would his followers spread some false message and die for nothing? The Apostles got nothing materially from spreading the gospels. Would you die for a lie?

-Jammo-

They died because they really believed in it. They didn't think it was a lie. Look at suicide bombers for example. They truely believe in martyrdom, but that doesn't mean they're really going to get 72 virgins for it.

I would die for the same of Christ, any day. Guess I really believe it, eh?

Well, the thing about it is that I don't expect you to understand. I've seen thinks with my eyes and heard things with my ears, and felt things in my heart that make me more convinced of the presence of God in my life than just about anything else. Thus, I can't say anything to you to show you why I believe what I do. But on the flip side, there is nothing you could possibly do to unfound me in my faith.

And you still think that you are in the light while the those who believe in God are in the dark. Sad.

I agree.  I may have a dark, twisted sense of humor.  I watch south park and I draw shocking comics, but if I had to die for god, I would.

i agree.

so your denying what people saw with their own two eyes?  honestly, how can you prove that anyone from those times existed?

[QUOTE="L8erSquare"]I fear fear itself. ;)drewtwo99

But if you fear fear you're succombing to the very thing you're supposed to be afraid of, and in turn you're defeating the purpose of fearing fear by succombing to it! Ahhhh! The paradox!

its a real phobia, i think its called phobophobia.  i need to double check.

[QUOTE="jackelhunter"]if you had a phobia of something you would have a panic attack when faced your phobia. you can't just have a casual fear of them, you would really fear them to death.drewtwo99

I really do panic whenever I see one of those flash screamers. I scream, my heart pounds, my hands get sweaty, I want to break down and cry or get really mad.

Moths make me leave the room. The other day my boyfriend was teasing me with a moth and I pinned myself in another room and wouldn't come out to see the moth.

hmm, then you really might have a phobia of a flash screamer, whatever that is.  i suggest that you should see a psycologist and see what they think, because although I know a lot about this stuff, I'm not a professional.

if you had a phobia of something you would have a panic attack when faced your phobia.  you can't just have a casual fear of them, you would really fear them to death.  the way you develop phobias is if you have a panic attack which is either caused by being near a particulary object, even if its abstract.  in fact there are very strange phobias, such as hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, which is ironically, the fear of long words.

[QUOTE="crimsoni"]Why do you people have to continuously create religious topics. Its freakin annoying. Just quit it. crimsoni

if you don't like them, don't post in them and ignore them.  no sense complaining about them when we have the right to discuss these things.

Everyday I look in OT and there is a religious topic talking about the samething over and over.

like i said before, you can't really do anything about it.  when you think about it OT always has similar threads over and over, but who cares?  you don't have to look at them.  I feel that this is an important matter so I choose to discuss it.
