Don't mind microtransactions as long as it isn't pay to win. Rainbow six siege has microtransactions but they're for aesthetic items only which is fine really...
So if they release a "large expansion" later this year, which they could charge £40 for like the Taken King, they will make it redundant within about 10 months with a new game.
Why would anyone buy the expansion? Either do like World of Warcraft and keep it interesting with many expansions or do like a regular game series and just make a game then the sequels.
Obviously there's a limit to how far they can go with the PC version before it essentially becomes a different game. But if we talk purely in terms of graphics I think they should go as far as possible for PC players; my brother spent about £900 on his PC so far, whereas my PS4 cost £300. Seems fair to me that his version of a game should have much higher quality graphics.
In terms of gameplay they need to be on level otherwise you're selling two different games and may as well just create exclusives for PC that are separate from console.
"We're not trying to be greedy, we just have a fantastic natural talent for it".
Charging £50+ for Battlefront then piling on DLC over the next 12 months until you're finally left with the complete game. Only after running up a bill of about £100...
In the interest of fairness, EA are big players in a game the whole industry plays, so they're not the only ones.
