Nolan Bushnell says its an end of an era? What does he know? The market has changed dramatically since the 80s.. I think he went back to play his Atari 2600 after that interview... lol.
@lukewallwork @shady965 @Evanduil Xbox has the most install base of any console, and they do have exclusive rights to have maps first, but the only thing that makes me not get the 360 version is the Gold online pass... seriously i would buy COD games more for my 360, but getting the 60$ yearly gold pass is cumbersome, especially for someone on a tight budget, which is why i prefer to get the PS3 version, But now that the WiiU is out.. thinking on getting the WiiU version now..
@dutch215 Not to many people will buy a new Xbox or Ps4 at launch, consumers will wait for the dramatic price drop and then purchase it when there are new games, and the system is less buggy.. 2 or 3 years in that's when gamers will arrive in the consoles life.
@nini200 The basic model will attract more consumers, on average there are not many games the average fan will want to buy from Nintendo. Usually its one or three tops, i worked at a best buy and there are more fans attracted to PS3 or Xbox than there are Wii gamers. So its really hard to tell if Nintendo has a real winner here, their last system wasn't a huge success due to hardware limits and lack of third party support, it was seen as a party system for friends or family. Nintendo will never get the kind of support they once did when the SNES was their biggest system ever, and it would seem they now have a hard time repeating what they once had.
It will be De Ja Vu for Nintendo and the consumers.. many won't know that the Wii U is a entire new system and think to themselves.. "oh its a Wii, I already got that for my child". I believe Nintendo should of came up with a brand new name for the system and not more of the same, we already had the Wii... how about something new?
